Womenshall be especially protected against any attack on their honor, in particular against rape,enforced prostitution, or any form of indecent assault. 67Although the GC provides special protection for women against these offenses, allindividuals, including children and men, should also be protected against these offenses.Indecent assault is generally referred to today as sexual assault.10.5.1.3 Presence May Not Be Used to Render Places Immune From MilitaryOperations. The presence of a protected person may not be used to render certain points or areasimmune from military operations. 6810.5.1.4 Taking of Hostages. The taking of hostages is prohibited. 6910.5.2 Protection Against Insults and Public Curiosity. Internees must at all times beprotected against insults and public curiosity. For example, displaying internees in a humiliatingfashion on television or on the internet would be prohibited. 70 For this reason and others, DoDpolicy has prohibited the taking of photographs of detainees except for authorized purposes. 7110.5.3 Other Prohibited Measures.10.5.3.1 No Physical or Moral Coercion.
