10.22.3.2 Assistants for the Members of Internee Committtees. Members ofInternee Committees may appoint from among the internees such assistants as they mayrequire. 35710.22.3.3 Material Facilities, Including Certain Freedom of Movement. Allmaterial facilities shall be granted to members of Internee Committees, particularly a certainfreedom of movement necessary for the accomplishment of their duties (e.g., visits to labordetachments, receipt of supplies). 358 For example, members of Internee Committees may need togo to stations or other arrival points where relief supplies are sent. 35910.22.3.4 Facilities for Communication. All facilities shall likewise be accordedto members of Internee Committees for communication by post and telegraph with the detainingauthorities, the Protecting Powers, the ICRC and their delegates, and the organizations that giveassistance to internees. 360 Internee Committee members in labor detachments shall enjoy similarfacilities for communication with their Internee Committee in the principal place ofinternment. 361 Such communications shall not be limited nor considered as forming a part of thequota mentioned in Article 107 of the GC. 362Censorship of communications with the Protecting Powers, ICRC, etc., is not prohibited,but the Detaining Power should ensure that delays do not occur to the disadvantage of theinternees. 36310.22.3.5 Turnover for Successor Members of the Internee Committee UponTransfer.
