133parent frame. The frame [Quarreling] uses the idea of ―incompatible opinions orbeliefs‖ which is defined in [Be_in_agreement_on_assessment] but not in [Discussion].3.2.1.5. Lexicographic relevanceWhile the annotation of contexts covers both core FEs and non-core FEs, only the coreFEs are used in the construction of the valence description to which we referred insection 3.2.1.3. For this reason, the sense and valence rich descriptions provided byFrameNet and which differentiate it from other resources such as dictionaries andthesauri have been said to offer a methodological contribution to lexicography. Theauthors of the project argue that, unlike most dictionaries which only indirectly giveaccess to the conceptual structures underlying word meanings, FrameNet providesmultiple annotated examples of each sense of a word in a given semantic frame, immediately raising questions of whether there are other words in the language evokingthe same frame (Atkins et al. 2003). Unlike thesauri which show that certain groups ofwords are semantically related but only indirectly show how they are related, FrameNetgroups together semantically similar words by means of a network of relations betweenframes. Also, thesauri do not provide the combinatorial behaviour of LUs, whereasFrameNet does (Ruppenhofer et al. 2010).3.2.2. TerminologyOver the last few years, some researchers have decided to apply Frame Semanticsand/or FrameNet‘s methodology to languages other than English and to specializedfields, such as molecular biology (Dolbey et al. 2006, Dolbey 2009), environmentalscience (Faber et al. 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009; Reimerink and Faber 2009; García deQuesada and Reimerink 2010; López Rodríguez et al. 2010; Faber 2011; León Araúz etal. 2011), the law (Alves et al. 2005, 2007; Venturi et al. 2009; Bertoldi and Chishman2012), soccer (Schmidt 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009) and computing and the Internet
