139Spanish terms that are reported correspond to differences in the or<strong>de</strong>r of activation ofthe FEs, e.g. lunar ti<strong>de</strong> (=AGENT + MOVEMENT) and marea lunar (=MOVEMENT +AGENT).Finally, the relations between frames are i<strong>de</strong>ntified and terminological<strong>de</strong>finitions are written based on corpus analysis as well as on the <strong>de</strong>scription of framesand frame relations so as to reflect the un<strong>de</strong>rlying conceptual structure that a given termshares with other terms. Grammatical information, illustrative contexts and images arealso provi<strong>de</strong>d for each term.One big difference between FrameNet and the EcoLexicon database is that thelatter uses images to illustrate and <strong>de</strong>fine the concepts. In fact, one of the most recentobjectives of this project is to link contexts and <strong>de</strong>finitions with images by means ofsemantic frames and their FEs so as to provi<strong>de</strong> the user with a multimodal learningexperience thanks to a coherent integration of frames, contexts and images (García <strong>de</strong>Quesada and Reimerink 2010). Although García <strong>de</strong> Quesada and Reimerink‘s work wascarried out on a small number of terms and the annotations differ from those provi<strong>de</strong>d inFrameNet, it shows that this kind of information, superimposed on contexts, can revealinteresting aspects of the linguistic functioning of predicative terms and theirarguments.The most important difference between the EcoLexicon project and our researchproject is that the <strong>forme</strong>r prioritizes the representation of specialized fields, namely byproviding visual information. As mentioned in Chapter 1, the main objective of thisresearch is to un<strong>de</strong>rstand the phenomenon of equivalence as well as to create amethodology for assigning equivalents of specialized verbs. As the goals of the projectsare different, we do not concentrate on the visual representation of the verbs and we donot believe that these would lend themselves well to that task. The fact that the
