ROW markers shall be staked out at the boundary limits <strong>of</strong> Right-<strong>of</strong>-way<br />

wherever possible. ROW markers shall be painted red with numbers painted in<br />

white. Number shall be identical to centreline marker number with letters A (left<br />

side) and B (right side) added, (looking, in flow direction). Reference markers<br />

shall also carry the same information as its corresponding centreline markers.<br />

Markers shall be <strong>of</strong> suitable material so as to serve their purpose and shall be<br />

coloured distinctly for easy identification. CONTRACTOR shall be responsible<br />

for the maintenance and replacement <strong>of</strong> the reference line markers until the<br />

permanent pipeline markers are placed and the as-built drawings are submitted<br />

and approved.<br />

Any deviation from the approved alignment shall be executed by<br />

CONTRACTOR after seeking COMPANY approval in writing prior to clearing<br />

operations.<br />

All shrines, monument, border stones, stone walls and the like shall be protected<br />

and shall be subjected to no harm during construction. Any violation <strong>of</strong> the<br />

above by the CONTRACTOR shall be brought to the notice <strong>of</strong> the COMPANY<br />

and other concerned authorities. Restoration <strong>of</strong> the above shall wholly be the<br />

responsibility <strong>of</strong> the CONTRACTOR.<br />

Prior to clearing or grading <strong>of</strong> the Right-<strong>of</strong>-way or stringing <strong>of</strong> pipe,<br />

CONTRACTOR shall open fences on or crossing the construction Right-<strong>of</strong>-way<br />

and install temporary gate <strong>of</strong> sound construction made <strong>of</strong> similar materials and<br />

suitable quality to serve purpose <strong>of</strong> original fence. Adjacent post shall be<br />

adequately braced to prevent slackening <strong>of</strong> the remainder <strong>of</strong> the fence. Before<br />

such fences are cut and opened, CONTRACTOR shall notify the land owner or<br />

tenant, and where practicable, the opening <strong>of</strong> the fences shall be in accordance<br />

with the wishes <strong>of</strong> said owner and tenant. In all cases where CONTRACTOR<br />

removes fences to obtain work route, CONTRACTOR shall provide and install<br />

temporary fencing, and on completion <strong>of</strong> construction shall restore such fencing<br />

to its original conditon.
