f. Identification colour bands on all piping as required including
insulated aluminium clad, galvanised, SS and non-ferrous piping.
g. Identification lettering/ numbering on all painted surface of
equipment/ piping insulated aluminium clad, galvanised, SS and
non-ferrous piping.
h. Marking/ identification signs on painted surfaces of equipment/
piping for hazardous service.
i. Supply of all primers, paints and all other materials required for
painting other than owner’s supply.
j. Over insulation surface of equipments and pipes wherever
required.
k. Painting under insulation for carbon steel and stainless steel as
specified.
l. Repair work of damaged/ preerection/ fabrication shop primer and
weld joints at field.
2.2.2 The following surface and materials shall not be painted unless otherwise
specified:
2.3 Documents
a. Uninsulated austentic stainless steel.
b. Plastic and/ or plastic coated materials.
c. Non ferrous materials like aluminium, galvanised “piping”, “gratings”
and “handrails” etc. except G. I. Towers.
2.3.1 The contractor shall perform the work in accordance with the following
documents issued to him for executions of work.
a. Bill of quantities for piping, equipment, machinery and structure etc.
b. Piping line list.
c. Painting specifications including special civil defence requirement.
2.4 Unless otherwise instructed final painting on pre-erection/ shop primed
pipes and equipments shall be painted in the field, only after mechanical
