f. Identification colour bands on all piping as required including<br />

insulated aluminium clad, galvanised, SS and non-ferrous piping.<br />

g. Identification lettering/ numbering on all painted surface <strong>of</strong><br />

equipment/ piping insulated aluminium clad, galvanised, SS and<br />

non-ferrous piping.<br />

h. Marking/ identification signs on painted surfaces <strong>of</strong> equipment/<br />

piping for hazardous service.<br />

i. Supply <strong>of</strong> all primers, paints and all other materials required for<br />

painting other than owner’s supply.<br />

j. Over insulation surface <strong>of</strong> equipments and pipes wherever<br />

required.<br />

k. Painting under insulation for carbon steel and stainless steel as<br />

specified.<br />

l. Repair work <strong>of</strong> damaged/ preerection/ fabrication shop primer and<br />

weld joints at field.<br />

2.2.2 The following surface and materials shall not be painted unless otherwise<br />

specified:<br />

2.3 Documents<br />

a. Uninsulated austentic stainless steel.<br />

b. Plastic and/ or plastic coated materials.<br />

c. Non ferrous materials like aluminium, galvanised “piping”, “gratings”<br />

and “handrails” etc. except G. I. Towers.<br />

2.3.1 The contractor shall perform the work in accordance with the following<br />

documents issued to him for executions <strong>of</strong> work.<br />

a. Bill <strong>of</strong> quantities for piping, equipment, machinery and structure etc.<br />

b. Piping line list.<br />

c. Painting specifications including special civil defence requirement.<br />

2.4 Unless otherwise instructed final painting on pre-erection/ shop primed<br />

pipes and equipments shall be painted in the field, only after mechanical<br />
