1.0 INTRODUCTION<br />

2.0 GENERAL<br />

This specification covers the minimum technical requirements for precommissioning<br />

and commissioning <strong>of</strong> gas pipeline, including precommissioning<br />

activities such as pre-commissioning checks, flushing <strong>of</strong><br />

terminal piping, dewatering, swabbing and nitrogen purging.<br />

The scope <strong>of</strong> work for testing and commissioning including pre-commissioning<br />

activities shall include, but not limited to the manpower, machinery &<br />

equipment, detailed procedures, materials and consumables, communications<br />

etc. to perform the work satisfactorily.<br />

Contractor shall prepare detailed procedures for flushing <strong>of</strong> terminal piping,<br />

dewatering, swabbing, inertisation and commissioning <strong>of</strong> the pipeline, covering<br />

all aspects <strong>of</strong> work for company’s approval. This shall include, but not limited<br />

to, the sequence and description <strong>of</strong> all operations, data on materials,<br />

equipment, instruments, consumables, communications systems, necessary<br />

calculations, detailed time schedule and organisation chart.<br />

The Contractor shall be responsible for demonstrating the successful<br />

completion <strong>of</strong> all the activities i.e. flushing <strong>of</strong> terminal piping, dewatering,<br />

swabbing, inertisation and commissioning <strong>of</strong> the pipeline. All necessary work<br />

to perform the job successfully including necessary modifications required shall<br />

be the responsibility <strong>of</strong> the Contractor.<br />

Contractor shall design and supply all temporary line connections, valves,<br />

instruments, etc. as required during the various operations.<br />

In the event <strong>of</strong> any detail which is not fully addressed, it is warranted by<br />

Contractor that work shall be performed in accordance with company’s<br />

specification and the best recognised practices in the on-shore pipeline<br />

industry.
