The under surfaces shall be prepared by applying a coat of phosphate and
a coat of zinc oxide / phosphate primer. The under surface shall be free
from all imperfections before undertaking the finishing coat. It shall then
be spray painted with two coats of epoxy paint. Colour of final paint shall
be vendor standard unless otherwise specified in data sheet. The finished
panel shall be dried in stoving ovens in dust free atmosphere. Panel finish
shall be free from imperfections like pinholes, orange peels etc. All
unpainted steel parts shall be cadmium plated or suitably treated to
prevent corrosion.
8.0 SPARES
The vendor shall indicate item wised unit prices and recommended
quantity of spares for two years normal operation and separately those for
start up and commissioning.
9.0 INSPECTION AND TESTING
9.1 The owner or his authorised representatives may visit the works during
manufacture of equipment to assess the progress of work as well as to
ascertain that only quality raw materials are used for the same. He shall
be given all assistance to carry out the inspection.
9.2 Detailed test procedures alongwith the facilities available at vendor’s
works shall be submitted alongwith the bid. Owner’s representative shall
be given minimum four works advance notice for witnessing the final
testing. Test certificates including test records and performance data etc.
shall be furnished by the vendor.
9.3 Final acceptance tests shall be carried out at manufacture’s works under
his care and expense. All the instruments and equipment required for
testing shall be arranged by contractor. Acceptance tests shall include but
not be limited to the following :
9.3.1 Visual Inspection
This shall include
- Completeness of the equipment in line with specs.
- Checking of all settings
- All labels provided and satisfactory
