The under surfaces shall be prepared by applying a coat <strong>of</strong> phosphate and<br />

a coat <strong>of</strong> zinc oxide / phosphate primer. The under surface shall be free<br />

from all imperfections before undertaking the finishing coat. It shall then<br />

be spray painted with two coats <strong>of</strong> epoxy paint. Colour <strong>of</strong> final paint shall<br />

be vendor standard unless otherwise specified in data sheet. The finished<br />

panel shall be dried in stoving ovens in dust free atmosphere. Panel finish<br />

shall be free from imperfections like pinholes, orange peels etc. All<br />

unpainted steel parts shall be cadmium plated or suitably treated to<br />

prevent corrosion.<br />

8.0 SPARES<br />

The vendor shall indicate item wised unit prices and recommended<br />

quantity <strong>of</strong> spares for two years normal operation and separately those for<br />

start up and commissioning.<br />

9.0 INSPECTION AND TESTING<br />

9.1 The owner or his authorised representatives may visit the works during<br />

manufacture <strong>of</strong> equipment to assess the progress <strong>of</strong> work as well as to<br />

ascertain that only quality raw materials are used for the same. He shall<br />

be given all assistance to carry out the inspection.<br />

9.2 Detailed test procedures alongwith the facilities available at vendor’s<br />

works shall be submitted alongwith the bid. Owner’s representative shall<br />

be given minimum four works advance notice for witnessing the final<br />

testing. Test certificates including test records and performance data etc.<br />

shall be furnished by the vendor.<br />

9.3 Final acceptance tests shall be carried out at manufacture’s works under<br />

his care and expense. All the instruments and equipment required for<br />

testing shall be arranged by contractor. Acceptance tests shall include but<br />

not be limited to the following :<br />

9.3.1 Visual Inspection<br />

This shall include<br />

- Completeness <strong>of</strong> the equipment in line with specs.<br />

- Checking <strong>of</strong> all settings<br />

- All labels provided and satisfactory<br />
