Result : Female rats were exposed to 10 mg/m3 m-cresol 4 hours per<br />

day, daily for 100 d up to 4 months. m-<strong>Cresol</strong> reached a<br />

concentration of 12.2 ug/g lung tissue; the neutral red<br />

sorption on day 3 resp d 39 was 133 % resp. 152 % of the<br />

control value as a marker for cytotoxicity. Full recovery<br />

did not occur.<br />
