Remark : Case Report: Muenchhausen's Syndrome with multiple skin<br />

ulcers caused by cresol is the diagnosis resulting from the<br />

findings of a 25 years old female nursing student.<br />

Remark : It is reported that mortality from bladder cancer was<br />

increased among molders in the foundry industry. The author<br />

suggest that cresols might act as tumour promotor.<br />

Remark : Case Report: A 52 year old man attempted to commit suicide<br />

by ingesting approximately 100 ml of penetrating oil, a<br />

petroleum distillate containing 85% kerosine, 12% mixed<br />

cresols, 2% surfactant and 1% artificial colour. He revealed<br />

a massive intravascular Heinz-body hemolytic anemia<br />

associated with the presence of bizarre-looking<br />

erythrocytes. He was treated successfully.<br />
