Yes ! Your inheritage in dancing. Je posais la question de savoir comment les métaphores,
les exemples qu’il donnait, de transplantations, de rapport aux arbres, aux atomes,
comment ça pouvait faire sens dans la question de la revendication d’un héritage formel
dans la danse, dans la tradition soufi et de la danse des Derviches qui tournent et de ce
qu’il en a fait dans la danse contemporaine.

In my dance, I am searching the basic rules of the universe, of the energy of “God”,
“Allah”, “devil” I don’t know what it is, and how it works. It works. I don’t know how, but
I’m searching for this basic rules as a dancer. Therefore, I like to speak in an abstract way,
instaed of saying, well, the Dervish was dancing like this, and I decide it’s too oriental, so
I decide to put some contemporary elements and let’s make “enchaîné, enchaîné,
enchaîné”. (Il montre une position de danse classique, un tour).

You know, like a ballerine. For me, it’s too direct, so if I give abstract explanation, this
explanation can be understood for musique, for literature, for dance, for life. That’s why,
if you ask me for an example, I would say I realise that the goal is to repeeat something
while you are dancing. It dœsn’t matter if you shake your head, or your leg, or if you play
with a pen, or if you (il tape du pied et tourne ses pouces), or if you smoke cigarettes, all
of them are circles. So you make a circle to fall in another side. I don’t know what it is,
but you fall.

becomes an organism. And this organism develops itself, and it becomes human. The
human start to think, and he needs to keep his knowledge, because he needs to survive.
And he pays so much attention to his knowledge, that he starts to forget about the being.
And the being is just to be. Or not to be!

Yes. What I realise is just to spin, to repeat, it dœsn’t matter how you repeat. In my tradition,
I don’t know how it happens that they decide mostly for spinning. Not only spinning, there
