Joyce O. SHAFFER, 70, 210 S Main St., Etna Green, died at 11:45 a.m. Friday at her<br />

residence.<br />

She was born in Danville, Ill., to Earl and Doneth SUTHERLIN YOUNT. On Jan. 25,<br />

1947, in Plymouth, she married Randolph “Pete” SHAFFER, who died Aug. 27, 1983. She had<br />

resided in Etna Green since 1987, having come from Plymouth. She was an operator at Sprint<br />

United Telephone, Plymouth, retiring in 1986 after 40 years She was a 1942 graduate of<br />

Plymouth High School.<br />

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Jack (Marsha) RUDD, <strong>Rochester</strong>; seve grandchildren;<br />

one great-gradchild; and one sister, Sandra YOUNT, Lodi, Calif. Preceding in death were an<br />

infant daughter, Linda [SHAFFER]; a son, Jeffery [SHAFFER]; and a granddaughter, Karianne.<br />

Services will be at 10 a.m Tuesday at the New Oakhill Chapel, Plymouth, with the Rev.<br />

Dennis BOLLENBACHER officiating. Burial will be in the New Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth.<br />

Friends may call one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the chapel.<br />

Arragements are being handled by Johnson-Daniels Funeral Home, Plymouth.<br />

Noel HEDINGTON, 89, 2848 Indiana 331, Tippecanoe, died at 10:20 p.m. Monday at St.<br />

Joseph’s Hospital of Marshall <strong>County</strong>, Plymouth.<br />

Arrangemets are pending at King Memorial Funeral Home, Mentone.<br />

Dudley R Walker<br />

Oct 29, 1939 - Jan. 7, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Dudley R. WALKER, 56, Center St., Monterey, died at 12:40 p.m. Sunday at Pulaski<br />

Memorial Hospital, Winamac.<br />

He was born in Truman, Ark., to Ray and Loreen COODWIN WALKER. On Oct. 18,<br />

1969, in Burbank, Ill., he married Becky CHRISTOPHER, who survives. He was a die setting<br />

foreman at Lobdell-Emery, Argos. He had resided in Monterey for three years, having come from<br />

Winamac. He was a member of United Auto Workers Local 2088, Argos.<br />

Surviving with his wife are five daughters, Victoria, Jennifer and Elizabeth WALKER,<br />

all of Plymouth; and Tammy and Tonya WALKER, both of Farmers City, Ill.; one son, Troy<br />

WALKER, Farmers City, Ill; two step-daughters, Cheryl MORRISON, Portage; and Deanna<br />

MADDALOOZO, Dallas, Texas; one step-son, Michael LIDDELL, Argos; seventeen<br />

grandchildren; his father, Ray WALKER, Truman, Ark.; two sisters, Josephine BLACK, Burbank,<br />

Ill; and Barbara WALKER, Chicago, Ill.; and one brother, John WALKER, Monticello. Preceding<br />

in death was his mother.<br />

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Frain Mortuary, Winamac, with William MATHYS<br />

officiating. Friends may call from 1-8 p.m Thursday and after 8 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
