Mary A. Hudson<br />

June 21, 1908 - March 24, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Mary A. HUDSON, 87, formerly of Akron, died at 11:45 a.m. Sunday at Sacred Heart<br />

Home, Avilla.<br />

She was born in Oolitic to Damon and Fern HARMAN FOUTS. On Sept. 5, 1925, in<br />

Chili, she married Vern C. HUDSON, who died on Oct 7, 1983. She was a homemaker and had<br />

lived in the Roann community for several years. She was a member of the Olive Branch Church<br />

of God, Roann, and had played the piano for several years.<br />

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Don (Mildred) YEOMAN, Fort Wayne; Mrs. Truman<br />

(Doris) NORDMAN, Akron; and Mrs. Dick (Marsha) HELM, Avilla; two sons, Larry HUDSON,<br />

Portland, Ore.; and Jerry HUDSON, Akron; twenty-eight grandchildren; fifty-one greatgrandchildren;<br />

one great-great-grandson; and two sisters, Mrs. Dale (Ethel Mae) CLARK and<br />

Martha WATSON HOLTZ, both of Leesburg, Fla. Preceding in death were two sons, Don and<br />

Floyd HUDSON; one daughter, Betty CLARK; oe brother, Albert FOUTS, and one<br />

granddaughter, Jill CLARK.<br />

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Olive Branch Church of God, Roann, with<br />

the Revs. Lowell BURRUS and Lawrence SEE officiating. Burial will be in the Enterprise<br />

[Tombaugh] Cemetery, Roann. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hartzler Funeral<br />

Home, Akron. Memorials may be made to the Olive Branch Church of God, Roann.<br />

Edith E. Van Dyke<br />

Aug. 15, 1906 - March 24, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Edith Elizabeth Van DYKE, 89, 523 Bryan St., Wabash, died at 3 a.m. Sunday at Wabash<br />

<strong>County</strong> Hospital, Wabash.<br />

She was born in Wabash <strong>County</strong> to Charles and Flora ROSER FOX. On Feb. 7, 1952, in<br />

Wabash, she married Clemans M. Van DYKE, who died in June, 1967. She was a homemaker<br />

and a member of the First Church of God, Wabash, for many years.<br />

Surviving are three nieces, Evelyn BATES, LaPorte; Miriam PETIT, Carmel; and Mary<br />

Louise ENGLAND, Wabash; and one nephew, Richard FOX, Noblesville. Preceding in death<br />

were three brothers, Cletus, Dewey and Roy [FOX]; and one sister, Cristle HAAS.<br />

A brief tribute to Mrs. Van Dyke will be held during the 10:30 a.m. service on Sunday at<br />

the First Church of God, Wabash.<br />

Graveside services will be announced at a later date and will be in Friends Cemetery,<br />

south of Wabash. Cremation has taken place. Memorials may be made to the First Church of God<br />

Building Fund.<br />

Arrangements are being handled by the Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron.
