Madlyn Eileen FORT, 77, Rochester, died at 5:45 a.m. Tuesday at Pulaski Memorial
Hospital.
Born in Fulton County to Oscar and Fern EWING MASTER, she married Banjamin
FORT on Aug. 12, 1941 in Greenfield. He survives. She lived in Rochester since 1975, having
come from Indianapolis. She was a surgical nurse at Wishard Memorial Hospital and at St.
Vincent Hospital, both of Indianapolis A 1941 graduate of the General Hospital School of
Nursing in Indianapolis, she was lead nurse for the Indianapolis 500- Infield Hospital. She was a
member of the Christian Church, Kewanna, and the Order of the Eastern Star, Rocheter.
Preceding her in death was her twin brother, Wendell [MASTER], in infancy.
Surviving with her husband are two sons, Eric FORT and hiw wife Vanesse , Kewanna,
and Dr. Kyle FORT and his wife Ann, Lewisburg, W.Va.; nine grandchildren; and one brother,
Orlyn MASTER, Whitesands Missile Range, N.M.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Foster & Good Funeral Home, Rocheter, with Rev.
Neil MILLIMAN officiating. Burial will take place at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Rochester.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday one hour before services Friday. The Order of the
Eastern Star will conduct a memorial service at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Glen N. Pearson
Jan. 22, 1918 - Aug. 6, 1996
Glen N. PEARSON, 78, Twelve Mile, died at 7:55 p.m. Tuesday at Dukes Continuing
Care Center, Peru.
Born in Vermillion County, Ill., to Swan and Clara Ann WERNIGK PEARSON, he
married Lillian A. PRISER on March 3, 1946 in Andrews. She preceded him in death on Oct. 15,
1971. He then married Faye Etta MARTIN ABBOTT on March 27, 1975 in Lucerne. She
survives.
He was a retired farmer and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was also a 1937
graduate of Twelve Mile High School and a member of the Pioneer Path Finders Club, Cass
County Farm Bureau, and enjoyed camping and visiting with friends.
Preceding him in death were two sisters, Agnes ULERICK and Ethel PEARSON; three
brothers, Harry, Lawrence, and Clark PEARSON; one grandson, Brian David PEARSON; and one
great-granddaughter.
Surviving with his wife are three children, Glenda Kay SHAVER, James PEARSON,
both of Peru, and Ron PEARSON, Macy; three step-children, Norma SPETCHER, Carol
GAUMER, both of Logansport, and Janet JOHNSTON, Twelve Mile; one sister, Esther
MUSSELMAN, Twelve Mile; two sisters-in-law, Retha PEARSON, Rochester, and Ianetta
PEARSON, Rensselaer; eight grandchildren, Virginia SCOTT, Rodney SHAVER, Kathy
SHAVER, Philip SHAVER, Eric PEARSON, Cheryl PEARSON, Jamie PEARSON, Kelly
PEARSON, four step-grandchildren, Adam SPEICHER, Peter SPEICHER, Jeremy GAUMER,
and Ronald GAUMER; and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at McClain Funeral Home, Denver, with Rev. Dr.
Bryan CLEMANS officiating. Burial will take place at the Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Logansport.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
