Dec. 13, 1918 - Aug. 8, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Madlyn Eileen FORT, 77, <strong>Rochester</strong>, died at 5:45 a.m. Tuesday at Pulaski Memorial<br />

Hospital.<br />

Born in <strong>Fulton</strong> <strong>County</strong> to Oscar and Fern EWING MASTER, she married Banjamin<br />

FORT on Aug. 12, 1941 in Greenfield. He survives. She lived in <strong>Rochester</strong> since 1975, having<br />

come from Indianapolis. She was a surgical nurse at Wishard Memorial Hospital and at St.<br />

Vincent Hospital, both of Indianapolis A 1941 graduate of the General Hospital School of<br />

Nursing in Indianapolis, she was lead nurse for the Indianapolis 500- Infield Hospital. She was a<br />

member of the Christian Church, Kewanna, and the Order of the Eastern Star, Rocheter.<br />

Preceding her in death was her twin brother, Wendell [MASTER], in infancy.<br />

Surviving with her husband are two sons, Eric FORT and hiw wife Vanesse , Kewanna,<br />

and Dr. Kyle FORT and his wife Ann, Lewisburg, W.Va.; nine grandchildren; and one brother,<br />

Orlyn MASTER, Whitesands Missile Range, N.M.<br />

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Foster & Good Funeral Home, Rocheter, with Rev.<br />

Neil MILLIMAN officiating. Burial will take place at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, <strong>Rochester</strong>.<br />

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday one hour before services Friday. <strong>The</strong> Order of the<br />

Eastern Star will conduct a memorial service at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.<br />

Glen N. Pearson<br />

Jan. 22, 1918 - Aug. 6, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Glen N. PEARSON, 78, Twelve Mile, died at 7:55 p.m. Tuesday at Dukes Continuing<br />

Care Center, Peru.<br />

Born in Vermillion <strong>County</strong>, Ill., to Swan and Clara Ann WERNIGK PEARSON, he<br />

married Lillian A. PRISER on March 3, 1946 in Andrews. She preceded him in death on Oct. 15,<br />

1971. He then married Faye Etta MARTIN ABBOTT on March 27, 1975 in Lucerne. She<br />

survives.<br />

He was a retired farmer and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was also a 1937<br />

graduate of Twelve Mile High School and a member of the Pioneer Path Finders Club, Cass<br />

<strong>County</strong> Farm Bureau, and enjoyed camping and visiting with friends.<br />

Preceding him in death were two sisters, Agnes ULERICK and Ethel PEARSON; three<br />

brothers, Harry, Lawrence, and Clark PEARSON; one grandson, Brian David PEARSON; and one<br />

great-granddaughter.<br />

Surviving with his wife are three children, Glenda Kay SHAVER, James PEARSON,<br />

both of Peru, and Ron PEARSON, Macy; three step-children, Norma SPETCHER, Carol<br />

GAUMER, both of Logansport, and Janet JOHNSTON, Twelve Mile; one sister, Esther<br />

MUSSELMAN, Twelve Mile; two sisters-in-law, Retha PEARSON, <strong>Rochester</strong>, and Ianetta<br />

PEARSON, Rensselaer; eight grandchildren, Virginia SCOTT, Rodney SHAVER, Kathy<br />

SHAVER, Philip SHAVER, Eric PEARSON, Cheryl PEARSON, Jamie PEARSON, Kelly<br />

PEARSON, four step-grandchildren, Adam SPEICHER, Peter SPEICHER, Jeremy GAUMER,<br />

and Ronald GAUMER; and six great-grandchildren.<br />

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at McClain Funeral Home, Denver, with Rev. Dr.<br />

Bryan CLEMANS officiating. Burial will take place at the Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Logansport.<br />

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
