Donald Garvison<br />

Feb. 22, 1927 - July 12, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Services for Donald T. GARVISON, 68, 1505 Sunset Drive, will be at 10:30 am.<br />

Monday at Foster & Good Funeral Home.<br />

<strong>The</strong> Rev. Robert STORY will officiate. Burial will be in the <strong>Rochester</strong> I.O.O.F.<br />

Cemetery where military graveside rites will be conducted by the American Legion and VFW.<br />

Friends may call from 2-6 p.m. Sunday and after 10:30 a.m. Monday.<br />

Mr. Garvison died at 7:45 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Medical Center, South Bend, where<br />

he had been a patient for three weeks. He had been in failing health for the last two years.<br />

He was born in Winamac to John and Nellie TABLER GARVISON. He moved to<br />

<strong>Rochester</strong> in 1954. On July 19, 1954 at Crown Point he married Marilyn J. KOONS, who<br />

survives.<br />

He served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II in the Pacific <strong>The</strong>ater. He<br />

was a former bus driver to the <strong>Rochester</strong> Community School Corporation. He retired from the<br />

Riddle Elementary School custodial staff in 1990. He attended the First Christian Church. he was<br />

a Cub Scoutmaster and member of the LeRoy Shelton America Legion Post, the Richland Center<br />

I.O.O.F. Lodge and the Richland Township Fish and Game Club.<br />

Survivng with his wife are two sons, Russell and Sherry ROGERS, and Douglas and<br />

Susie GARVISON, both of <strong>Rochester</strong>, and three sisters, Violet BUNNELL, Logansport; Bessie<br />

MULARSKI, Ora., and Mrs. Ben (Daisy) RAKOWSKI, Spencer. Preceding in death were two<br />

brothers, Noah and Noble WALTHER.<br />

Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.<br />

James E. Lease<br />

March 16, 1937 - July 13, <strong>1996</strong><br />

James E. LEASE, 59, <strong>Rochester</strong>, died Saturday morning at his residence.<br />

Born in Litchfield, Ill., to Herrold J. and Alida BABCOCK LEASE, he owned and<br />

operated Jim Lease Office Machines, <strong>Rochester</strong>. He was a member of the <strong>Rochester</strong> First Baptist<br />

Church, the <strong>Fulton</strong> Masonic Lodge and vice president of the Wabash chapter of Parents Without<br />

Partners.<br />

Surviving are one daughter, Marcia Susan LEASE BUCK and her husband, Carl,<br />

Charlottesvile, Va.; one son, David M. LEASE and his wife Trinity, <strong>Rochester</strong>; three<br />

grandchildren, Amanda M. and Alexandra LEASE and Jeffrey D. BUCK; and one brother,<br />

Howard J. LEASE, <strong>Rochester</strong>.<br />

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Zimmerman Family Funeral Home,<br />

Rocheter, with Rev. Junior BOSE officiating. Burial will be at the <strong>Rochester</strong> I.O.O.F. Cemetery<br />

and visitation will be from 4-8 p.m Tuesday and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. <strong>The</strong><br />

<strong>Fulton</strong> Masonic Lodge will conduct ervices at 8 p.m. Tuesday.<br />

Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army or the <strong>Fulton</strong> <strong>County</strong> Historicl Society.
