Catherine O. DAVISSON, 81, <strong>Rochester</strong>, died at 8:20 a.m. Wednesday at the Life Care<br />

Center where she had been a resdent for eight years.<br />

Born in Frankfort to Earl and Edith JONES REED, she married Russell DAVISSON in<br />

1934 in Frankfort; he died Sept. 22, 1988. She had lived on <strong>Fulton</strong> Avenue having moved to<br />

<strong>Rochester</strong> from Chatsworth, Ill.<br />

She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. William (<strong>The</strong>lma) BOWLING, Farmington,<br />

N.Y.,, Mrs. Eugene (Betty) SUTTON, <strong>Rochester</strong>, Mrs. Darlene ECKER, Shasta Lake, Calif., Mrs.<br />

Kenneth (Patricia) BACHTOLD, Sibley, Ill.; a son John Edward DAVISSON, Arkansas; fifteen<br />

grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was precded in death<br />

by a grandson.<br />

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Rick DuFORD officiating.<br />

Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery. No visitation is scheduled. Zimmerman Family Funeral<br />

Home, <strong>Rochester</strong>, is in charge of arrangements.<br />

Jack E. Kitchen<br />

Jan. 2, 1933 - Oct. 16, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Jack E., 83, 219 Millcreek Drive, Chesterfield, died Wednesday at Woodlawn Hospital<br />

following a brief illness.<br />

Born in Clinton to John and Martha Elizabeth SHORT KITCHEN, he married Edna L.<br />

PERRY in November, 1952, in Andrson; she survives. He had lived most of his life in the<br />

Anderson and Chesterfield area and had served in the U.S. Army in Korea from 1953-1955. He<br />

was a truck driver for Commercial Motor Freight for 25 years and for Central Transport for 10<br />

years retiring in 1993. He was a member of the American Legion Post 408, Veterans of Foreign<br />

Wars Post 1943, Elks Lodge of <strong>Rochester</strong>, Chesterfield Booster Club, Jaycees, and former town<br />

marshal of Chesterfield. He played, was active in and coached baseball for many years.<br />

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, John Brad and wife DeEllyn<br />

KITCHEN, Chesterfield, Brunie and wife Vicki KITCHEN, Daleville; a daughter, Tracy<br />

GRAHAM, Chesterfield; three grandchildren, Sarah KITCHEN, Derrick GRAHAM, Devin<br />

GRAHAM; two step-granddaughters Laura BRUMLEY, Lisa WELKER, and one step-greatgranddaughter,<br />

Taylor WELKER; his father, John KITCHEN, Anderson, and one brother, Bob<br />

KITCHEN, also of Anderson. He was preceded in death by his mother, Martha KITCHEN.<br />

Services are at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service, 229 South<br />

Rangeline Rd., Anderson, with the Rev. Harold CLARK officiating. Burial is in Bronnenberg<br />

Cemetery. Visitation is from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the Rozelle-Johnson Funeral<br />

Service.<br />

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Post 408 or the<br />

Knightstown Home for Children.
