Naomi J. Furnivall<br />

Jan. 31, 1932 - Dec. 20, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Naomi Jean FURNIVALL, 64, 329 West Eighth St., died at 9:35 a.m. Friday at<br />

Woodlawn Hospital. She had been in failing health for six years.<br />

She was born in Morocco to Chester and Edna HOWELL CARPENTER, who survive.<br />

On April 14, 1951 in Rocheter she married Donald H. FURNIVALL who survives She worked<br />

for Torin Corp., now Lau, for 22 years. She attnded the <strong>Rochester</strong> Church of God and was a 16year<br />

member of the <strong>Fulton</strong> <strong>County</strong> C.B. Club. She was also a member of U.A.W. No. 947. She<br />

lived most of her life in the <strong>Rochester</strong> community<br />

Surviving with her husband are three sons, Randall H. and Kathy S. FURNIVAL,<br />

Richard A. and Kathy . FURNIVALL, and Ronald G. and Tina M. FURNIVALL, all of<br />

<strong>Rochester</strong>; seven gradchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Roy (Joan)<br />

McCLELLAN, and Mrs. David (Linda S.) SCOTT, both of <strong>Rochester</strong>; two brothers, Dale<br />

CARPENTER, Kewanna, and James W. and Patsy CARPENTER, Akron, and nieces and<br />

nephews.<br />

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Foster & Good Fueral Home with Pastor Larry<br />

PYEATT officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-<br />

5:30 p.m. Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday.<br />

Darl E Shidler<br />

Feb. 12, 1909 - Dec. 20, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Darl E. SHIDLER, 87, Kewanna, died at 6:28 p.. Friday at the Life Care Center of<br />

<strong>Rochester</strong>.<br />

Born to Henry and Lottie BUCK SHIDLER in Thornhope, he married Olive L.<br />

COCHRAN, who survives, on May 9, 1933 in Crown Point.<br />

Shidler was a retired Penn-Central Railroad section foreman. He was a member of the<br />

Maintenance of Way Employees.<br />

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughtr, Darlene BIRD, Chicago, one sister,<br />

Olive FISHER, nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.<br />

He was preceded in death by two sons, one sister and five brothers.<br />

Services are at 1 p.m Tuesday at Harrison-Metzger Kewanna Chapel with the Dr.<br />

Douglas A. BLANC officiating. Burial will be at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Visitation is from 4-8<br />

p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Tuesday until time of service.<br />

Former <strong>Rochester</strong> residet Lois F. HUBBARD died at 3:15 a.m. today at Mason Heath<br />

Care Center, Warsaw. Arrangements are pending at Foster & Good Fueral Home.
