Naomi Jean FURNIVALL, 64, 329 West Eighth St., died at 9:35 a.m. Friday at
Woodlawn Hospital. She had been in failing health for six years.
She was born in Morocco to Chester and Edna HOWELL CARPENTER, who survive.
On April 14, 1951 in Rocheter she married Donald H. FURNIVALL who survives She worked
for Torin Corp., now Lau, for 22 years. She attnded the Rochester Church of God and was a 16year
member of the Fulton County C.B. Club. She was also a member of U.A.W. No. 947. She
lived most of her life in the Rochester community
Surviving with her husband are three sons, Randall H. and Kathy S. FURNIVAL,
Richard A. and Kathy . FURNIVALL, and Ronald G. and Tina M. FURNIVALL, all of
Rochester; seven gradchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Roy (Joan)
McCLELLAN, and Mrs. David (Linda S.) SCOTT, both of Rochester; two brothers, Dale
CARPENTER, Kewanna, and James W. and Patsy CARPENTER, Akron, and nieces and
nephews.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Foster & Good Fueral Home with Pastor Larry
PYEATT officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-
5:30 p.m. Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday.

Darl E Shidler
Feb. 12, 1909 - Dec. 20, 1996
Darl E. SHIDLER, 87, Kewanna, died at 6:28 p.. Friday at the Life Care Center of
Rochester.
Born to Henry and Lottie BUCK SHIDLER in Thornhope, he married Olive L.
COCHRAN, who survives, on May 9, 1933 in Crown Point.
Shidler was a retired Penn-Central Railroad section foreman. He was a member of the
Maintenance of Way Employees.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughtr, Darlene BIRD, Chicago, one sister,
Olive FISHER, nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons, one sister and five brothers.
Services are at 1 p.m Tuesday at Harrison-Metzger Kewanna Chapel with the Dr.
Douglas A. BLANC officiating. Burial will be at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Visitation is from 4-8
p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Tuesday until time of service.
