Ruby Lockett<br />

Sept. 13, 1915 - Nov. 15, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Ruby LOCKETT, 81, Kings Lake, died at 9 a.m. Friday at Woodlawn Hospital.<br />

She was born in Shuqualak, Miss, to Johnny and Lovie (MURDOCK) RIDDLE. On<br />

Dec. 15, 1929 in Shuqualak, Miss., she married Willie LOCKETT, who survives.<br />

A homemaker, she lived in Kings Lake for 38 years.<br />

Surviving with her husband are three daughters, Hallie B. CRUMP, Chicago, Mildred<br />

VALENTINE, Chicago, and Mrs. Walter (Mary) LEWIS, Charleston, Mo.; two sons, Freddie B.<br />

LOCKETT, Chicago, and Willie LOCKETT, Jr., Chicago; oe brother, Johnny RIDDLE, and his<br />

wife, Lola, of East St. Louis, Ill., thirty-two grandchildren, sisty-six great-grandchildren and<br />

twelve great-great-grandchildren.<br />

Preceding in death with her parents were one sister and one brother.<br />

Services will be at noon Friday at Foster & Good Funera Home in <strong>Rochester</strong>. Rev. Jessie<br />

INGRAM and Rev. Walter LEWIS will officiate.<br />

Burial will be at the Leiters Ford Cemetery. Visitation is from 6-8 p.m Thursday at the<br />

funeral home and one hour prior to services on Friday.<br />

Robert N. Kindig<br />

April 26, 1920 - Nov. 18, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Robert N KINDIG, 76, Deedsville, died at 1:40 p.m. Monday at Methodist Hospital,<br />

Indianapolis.<br />

Born to W. Claude and Enid HART KINDIG in Deedsville, he married Jane WEISHAA<br />

on Aug. 9, 1940 in Chili; she survives. A lifelong Deedsville resident, he was a retired building<br />

contractor and a member of the Deedsville United Methodist Church, Manitou Moose Lodge, and<br />

the Deedsville I.O.O.F. Lodge. During WWII he was a U.S. Army Air Corps pilot.<br />

Surviving with his wife are one son, Robert KINDIG, <strong>Rochester</strong> Hills, Mich., three<br />

granddaughters, two great grandchildren, and one brother, William KINDIG, Decatur, Ill.<br />

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Deedsville United Methodist Church. Rev.<br />

Rick STONE will officiate, assisted by Rev. Norris KING. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m<br />

Wednesday at the Zimmerman Family Funera Home in <strong>Rochester</strong>, and one hour prior to services<br />

at the church Burial will be in the Deedsville I.O.O.F. Cemetery.<br />

Services for Mary Margaret DEEB, 79, Twelve Mile, who died at 3:30 a.m. today at her<br />

residence, are pending at McClain Funeral Home in Denver.<br />

Garl H. Shank<br />

Garl Hartley SHANK, 71, San Diego, Calif., died Sunday.<br />

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth “Libby” Van TRUMP SHANK, San Diego; one<br />

son, Jeff SHANK, Virginia Beach, Va.; one brother, Bill SHANK, Peru; one sister, Betty<br />

BROWN, Peru, and two grandchildren.
