Mildred E. Diveley<br />

Nov. 19, 1898 - March 9, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Mildred E. DIVELEY, 97, formerly of Rt. 2, Kewanna, died at 7 p.m. Saturday in<br />

Hemphill, Texas, where she resided.<br />

She was born in Grass Creek to Sidney and Rebecca SNYDER POWNALL. In 1920,<br />

she married Russell DIVELEY, who died in 1971. She was a retired elementary school teacher<br />

and taught in Grass Creek and Kewanna schools until 1971. She was a graduate of Grass Creek<br />

High School and Manchester College, and a member of Grass Creek United Methodist Church and<br />

Delta Kappa Gamma teacher’s sorority.<br />

Surviving are two sons, William R. [DIVELEY], Wilmington, Del.; and Darrell K.<br />

[DIVELEY], Hemphill, Texas; three grandsons, Kenneth R. [DIVELEY], Bradenton, Fla.;<br />

Jonathan S. [DIVELEY], Richmond, Va.; and Keith W. [DIVELEY], Plano, Texas; one greatgranddaughter;<br />

three great-grandsons and oe step-great-granddaughter. Preceding in death was<br />

one son, Dale L. [DIVELEY].<br />

Services for Mrs. Diveley will be held at a later date.<br />

Harrison-Metzger Funeral Home, Kewanna, is in charge of the arrangements.<br />

March 15, 1911 - March 14, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Willard L. COOK, 84, Winter Haven, Fla., died Thursday at Winter Haven Hospital,<br />

Winter Haven, Fla.<br />

He was born in Farmer City, Ill. He was a clerk for a railroad and a member of the St.<br />

John’s United Methodist Church, Winter Haven, Fla.<br />

Surviving are his wife, Lenore [COOK], Winter Haven, Fla.; three sons, James R.<br />

[COOK], Ft. Myers, Fla; Richard D. [COOK], Houston, Texas; and John W. [COOK], <strong>Rochester</strong>;<br />

two sisters, Marguerite [ALBER], <strong>Rochester</strong>; and Ruth SEDAN, DeLand, Fla.; and eight<br />

grandchildren.<br />

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Glen Abbey Funeral Home, Auburndale, Fla.
