Feb. 3, 1899 - April 25, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Goldie Fay SMITHSON, 97, Regency Place Nursing Home, Lafayette, died there at 2:20<br />

a.m. Thursday following an extended illness.<br />

She was born in <strong>Fulton</strong> <strong>County</strong> to Frank and Hattie ALEXANDER RITTER. On April<br />

11, 1934 she married Earl F. SMITHSON who died May 24, 1966. She was a homemaker.<br />

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. John (Shirley) HIlEMAN, Lafayette; six grandchildren;<br />

great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren and one brother, Ralph W. RITTER, Lafayette.<br />

Preceding in death were three sons, one daughter, one foster-son, two sisters and two brothers.<br />

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third St.,<br />

Peru, with the Rev. James LUND officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Peru.<br />

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Saturday.<br />

Anna M. Kinsel<br />

Sept. 19, 1931 - April 26, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Anna May KINSEL, 64, 4849 South Wabash Road, died at 6 p.m. Friday at her<br />

residence. She had been ill for one year.<br />

She was born in Columbus, Ohio, to Wilbur J. and Helen WARNER NORRIS. On Aug.<br />

17, 1952 in Chicago, Ill, she married Don M. KINSEL, who survives. She was a <strong>Rochester</strong><br />

resident for 28 years, coming here from South Whitley. She was a retired school teacher who<br />

taught at <strong>Rochester</strong> Middle School. She retired in 1989. She grduated from Manchester College,<br />

North Manchester, and was a member of the Classroom Teachers Assocition, the Indiana State<br />

Teachers Association and Psi Iota Xi Sorority. She was a member o the First Baptist Church and<br />

president of the Fellowship Guild of the church. For the past five years she was the nutritionist for<br />

the WICKS program.<br />

Surviving with her husband are one daughter, Mrs. David (Cindy) GUDEMAN,<br />

<strong>Rochester</strong>; two sons, Mark and Al and Cindy [KINSEL], both of <strong>Rochester</strong>; five grandchildren,<br />

Sarah and Alexander GUDEMAN, Aaron BORDER, and Jenna and Brady KINSEL, all of<br />

<strong>Rochester</strong>; and one sister, Mrs. Jim (Jane) GEBERT, Pierceton.<br />

Services will be at 1 p.m Tueday at Foster & Good Funeral Home, <strong>Rochester</strong>, with Dr.<br />

Mark SPENCER and the Rev. Junior BOSE officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.<br />

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday and after noon Tuesday.
