Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Flowers-Ledy Funeral Home, Peru, with the Rev.<br />

Ron KERR officiating. Burial will be in the Athens Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m.<br />

today. An Easter Star service will be held at 8 p.m. today. Memorials may be made to the YMCA<br />

and the Salvation Army.<br />

Elmer O. GENTRY, 89, <strong>Rochester</strong>, died at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Life Care Center,<br />

<strong>Rochester</strong>.<br />

Born in Cullman, Ala., to David W. and Rena SEWELL GENTRY, he married Nellie B.<br />

GENTRY on June 28, 1930 in Cullman, Ala. She died June 21, 1990. He had been a resident of<br />

the <strong>Rochester</strong> area since 1986, having come from Florida. He was a retired employee of Black<br />

River School Corp., Homerville, Ohio.<br />

He is survived by one daughter Mrs. William (Retha Eloise) BYERS, Kent, Ohio, one<br />

son Kenneth L GENTRY, <strong>Rochester</strong>; five grandchidren, Mark GENTRY, <strong>Rochester</strong>, Vicki<br />

PATTON, Kokomo, Kevin GENTRY, West Salem, Ohio, Tony GENTRY, Jefferson City, Tenn.,<br />

Brian GENTRY, Lodi, Ohio; four great-grandchildren; and one brother, Cliff GENTRY, Holland,<br />

Ohio. He was preceded in death by one son David W. [GENTRY] in 1989 and one brother Alvin<br />

[GENTRY] in 1981.<br />

Private family services will be Monday, Dec. 23, <strong>1996</strong> at the Zimmerman Family Funeral<br />

Home, <strong>Rochester</strong> with the Rev. Junior BOSE officiating Burial will be in the I.O.O.F Cemetery,<br />

<strong>Rochester</strong>. <strong>The</strong>re is no visitation.<br />

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.<br />

Ida B. Bowell<br />

June 26, 1898 - Dec. 15, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Ida B. BOWELL, 98, Argos, died at 11:55 a.m. Sunday at Miller’s Merry Manor Nursing<br />

Home, Plymouth.<br />

Born in Cottonwood Falls, Kan., to John and Eugenia JOHNSON DAWSON, she<br />

married Floyd BOWELL on Dec. 23, 1915 in St. Joseph, Mich. He died Oct. 6, 1966. A<br />

homemaker, she had lived most of her life in the Argos community and attended the Argos Bible<br />

Church.<br />

She is survived by one daugher, Mrs. Jack (Donna) MILLER, Norco, Calif.; one son<br />

Everett and wife Opal BOWELL, Argos; one grandson Jack MILLER, Mira Loma, Calif; four<br />

nieces including Mrs. Virgil (Frances) QUIVEY, Plymouth. She was preceded in death by two<br />

brothers, William and Clinton DAWSON.<br />

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos, with<br />

Rev. Earl LIGHTFOOT officiating. <strong>The</strong> family request no visitation or viewing. Grossman<br />

Funeral Home, Argos, is in charge of arrangements.<br />

Memorial contributions may be made to the Missionary Society of the Argos Bible<br />

Church, Argos.
