David B. Hassenplug<br />

Word has been received of the death of David B. HASSENPLUG, 44, Woodburn.<br />

He was a 23-year employee of GTE North and a member of East Allen <strong>County</strong> Church of<br />

Christ.<br />

Surviving are his wife, Debra [HASSENPLUG]; two daughters, Lori STEELE and Kristi<br />

HASSENPLUG, both of Fort Wayne; three sons, Scott SANDS, Nashville, Ark., and Brian<br />

SANDS and Sean HASSENPLUG, both at home; mother and step-father, Doris and Don<br />

WOOLINGTON, Kewanna; step-mother and father, Treva and William HASSENPLUG, Grand<br />

Rapids, Mich.; one brother, Dan [HASSENPLUG], Kewanna; two step-brothers, Mike and Mark<br />

WOOLINGTON, Logansport; two half-sisters, Bunnie CLELAND, Virginia Beach, Va., Karen<br />

CUNNINGHAM, Kewanna; and one half-brother, Steve HASSENPLUG, West Lafayette.<br />

Services were held in New Haven. Memorials can be made to Camp Indogan.<br />

Arthur W. Hunt<br />

June 26, 1931 - June 9, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Arthur W. “Junior” HUNT, 64, died at 7 a.m. Sunday at Community Hospital of Bremen.<br />

Born in Tyner to Arthur W. and Helen HAZEN HUNT Sr., he married Marie L. GIBSON<br />

in 1951. She preceded him in death. He lived in the Bremen area his entire life. He worked for<br />

36 years at Bremen Castings. He was a member of the Bremen Missionary Church, an usher for<br />

the University of Notre Dame, and an avid bowler and golfer.<br />

Also preceding him in death was his father.<br />

Survivors include his mother, Helen PONTIOUS, Koontz Lake; one dauthter, Christine<br />

FLAGER, Cassopolis, Mich.; one step-daughter, Cheryl CHRZAN, Bremen; two sons, Charles A.<br />

HUNT, Gladstone, Texas, John HUNT, Bremen; two step-sons, Jerry and Gary CHRZAN,<br />

Bremen; thirteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; [ten] sisters, Beverly DAVIS and Delores<br />

OGLE, <strong>Rochester</strong>, Loella POWELL, Colorado, Judy LoHAGEN, Pennsylvania, Patty EGLESKI,<br />

Wabash, Teena SNYDER, Bremen, Lila HARMON, Florida, Barbara HARRINGTON, Bremen,<br />

Kathy GARZA, Plymouth, Carolyn COBURN, Ohio; six brothers, Robert, Richard, Paul and<br />

Frank HUNT, all of Plymouth, and Bill and George HUNT, both of Bremen.<br />

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen with Rev.<br />

Gary HINKLE officiating. Burial will be in the Bremen Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 and<br />

6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.<br />

Memorials can be made to the American Heart Fund or Community Hospital of Bremen.<br />

Trella L. Kennedy<br />

August 19, 1917 - June 10, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Trella L. KENNEDY, 78, Plymouth, formerly of <strong>Rochester</strong>, died at 12:23 a.m. Monday<br />

at Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home, Plymouth.<br />

Born near <strong>Rochester</strong> to Olin and Goldia EMMONS WAGONER, she married Elbert<br />

Franklin KENNEDY in 1940. He preceded her in death. She worked as a homemaker and was a<br />

member of the First United Church of Christ, Plymouth.<br />

Surviving are one sister, Reba ISELY, Akron; and several nieces, nephews and grandnieces<br />

and nephews.<br />

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Reichter Cemetery northeast of<br />

<strong>Rochester</strong>. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Foster & Good Funeral<br />

Home, <strong>Rochester</strong>.
