David B. Hassenplug
Word has been received of the death of David B. HASSENPLUG, 44, Woodburn.
He was a 23-year employee of GTE North and a member of East Allen County Church of
Christ.
Surviving are his wife, Debra [HASSENPLUG]; two daughters, Lori STEELE and Kristi
HASSENPLUG, both of Fort Wayne; three sons, Scott SANDS, Nashville, Ark., and Brian
SANDS and Sean HASSENPLUG, both at home; mother and step-father, Doris and Don
WOOLINGTON, Kewanna; step-mother and father, Treva and William HASSENPLUG, Grand
Rapids, Mich.; one brother, Dan [HASSENPLUG], Kewanna; two step-brothers, Mike and Mark
WOOLINGTON, Logansport; two half-sisters, Bunnie CLELAND, Virginia Beach, Va., Karen
CUNNINGHAM, Kewanna; and one half-brother, Steve HASSENPLUG, West Lafayette.
Services were held in New Haven. Memorials can be made to Camp Indogan.
Arthur W. Hunt
June 26, 1931 - June 9, 1996
Arthur W. “Junior” HUNT, 64, died at 7 a.m. Sunday at Community Hospital of Bremen.
Born in Tyner to Arthur W. and Helen HAZEN HUNT Sr., he married Marie L. GIBSON
in 1951. She preceded him in death. He lived in the Bremen area his entire life. He worked for
36 years at Bremen Castings. He was a member of the Bremen Missionary Church, an usher for
the University of Notre Dame, and an avid bowler and golfer.
Also preceding him in death was his father.
Survivors include his mother, Helen PONTIOUS, Koontz Lake; one dauthter, Christine
FLAGER, Cassopolis, Mich.; one step-daughter, Cheryl CHRZAN, Bremen; two sons, Charles A.
HUNT, Gladstone, Texas, John HUNT, Bremen; two step-sons, Jerry and Gary CHRZAN,
Bremen; thirteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; [ten] sisters, Beverly DAVIS and Delores
OGLE, Rochester, Loella POWELL, Colorado, Judy LoHAGEN, Pennsylvania, Patty EGLESKI,
Wabash, Teena SNYDER, Bremen, Lila HARMON, Florida, Barbara HARRINGTON, Bremen,
Kathy GARZA, Plymouth, Carolyn COBURN, Ohio; six brothers, Robert, Richard, Paul and
Frank HUNT, all of Plymouth, and Bill and George HUNT, both of Bremen.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen with Rev.
Gary HINKLE officiating. Burial will be in the Bremen Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 and
6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials can be made to the American Heart Fund or Community Hospital of Bremen.
Trella L. Kennedy
August 19, 1917 - June 10, 1996
Trella L. KENNEDY, 78, Plymouth, formerly of Rochester, died at 12:23 a.m. Monday
at Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home, Plymouth.
Born near Rochester to Olin and Goldia EMMONS WAGONER, she married Elbert
Franklin KENNEDY in 1940. He preceded her in death. She worked as a homemaker and was a
member of the First United Church of Christ, Plymouth.
Surviving are one sister, Reba ISELY, Akron; and several nieces, nephews and grandnieces
and nephews.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Reichter Cemetery northeast of
Rochester. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Foster & Good Funeral
Home, Rochester.
