Aug. 7, 1934 - April 25, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Rachel M. TEMPLETON, 61, 718 Pontiac St., Rochster died at 3:15 a.m. Thursday at her<br />

residence.<br />

She was born in Gary to Merwin W. and Sylvia M. (SEWELL) TARVIN. She married<br />

David J. “Jim” TEMPLETON Sept. 29, 1956 in Gary. He survives.<br />

She formerly owned <strong>The</strong> Sewing Center in <strong>Rochester</strong>. She was a member of the Church<br />

of <strong>Fulton</strong> and the Patriots of Liberty.<br />

Surviving are her mother, Sylvia, Conover, N.C.; three sons, Kenneth R.<br />

[TEMPLETON], Traverse City., Mich., Alan R. [TEMPLETON], Champaign, Ill., Paul D.<br />

[TEMPLETON], Fishers; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Marie REILLY, Conover, N.C.;<br />

Mrs. Sarah McGILL, Newton, N.C.; one brother, Glen TARVIN, Munster.<br />

She was preceded in death by her father, Merwin; one daughter, Suzanne G.<br />

TEMPLETON.<br />

Memorial services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at Hillcrest Church Baptist Church in<br />

<strong>Rochester</strong>. <strong>The</strong>re will be a carry-in dinner at the church after services.<br />

<strong>The</strong>re will be no visitation or burial. Her remains are being donated to the Palmer<br />

College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. Memorials may be left to <strong>Fulton</strong> <strong>County</strong> Christian<br />

Academy.<br />

Zimmerman Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.<br />

June 29, 1902 - April 24, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Frances A. FRICK, 93, Mexico, died at 8:10 p.m. Wednesday at Dukes Continuing Cre<br />

Center, Peru.<br />

She was born in Wabash <strong>County</strong> to Edward and Sarah Elizavbeth MORTS OYLER. On<br />

June 30, 1934 at Banquo she married Lyman B. FRICK, who died Feb. 5, 1988. She graduated<br />

from Somerset High School in 1920 and attended Teacher’s College of Indianapolis and<br />

Manchester College. She was an elementary school teacher in Monroe <strong>County</strong>, Somerset,<br />

Banquo, Kokomo, Fort Wayne and Mexico. She retired in 1962. She was a member of the<br />

Retired Teacher’s Association and United Methodist Women. She was a past matron and 50-year<br />

member of the Macy Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star. She was the co-owner of Frick<br />

Hardware in <strong>Fulton</strong> from 1947 to 1975. She lived in Mexico from the time she was married.<br />

Surviving are one sister, Dorothea WEAVER, Sweetser; two sisters-in-law, Esther<br />

FRICK ad Ruth FRICK, both of Mexico, and nieces and nephews. Preceding in death were two<br />

brothers, Howard and Merritt ANDREW, and three sisters, Ellen REED, Kathryn KEM and Lois<br />

BOLINGER.<br />

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Mexico Baptist Church with the Revs. William<br />

BERGSTROM and Steve FLECK officiating. Burial will be in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Mexico.<br />

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Saturday at McClain Funeral Home, Denver, and one hour before<br />

services Sunday at the church.<br />
