July 6, 1939 - July 9, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Janice “Sue” BOOKS WESNER, 57, Plano, Texas, died at 12 p.m. Tuesday at Columbia<br />

Medical Center, Plano.<br />

Born in <strong>Rochester</strong> to Everett F. and Esther F. PICKENS BOOKS, she married Darrell E.<br />

WESNER on February 14, 1959 in Logansport. He survives. She had lived in Texas for 4 1/2<br />

years, having come from <strong>Rochester</strong>, N.Y. She was a graduate of <strong>Rochester</strong> High School, attended<br />

Elkhart University, and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, <strong>Rochester</strong>.<br />

Preceding her in death was her father in 1966.<br />

Surviving with her husband are one daughter, Kim HOLLADAY, Huntsville, Ala.; two<br />

sons, William WESNER, Dallas, Texas, and Jon WESNER, Houston, Taxes; two grandchildren,<br />

Andrew and Gary Jr. HOLLADAY, Huntsville; her mother, Esther F. BOOKS, Rochesrer; and<br />

several nieces and nephews.<br />

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Sparkman and Hilcrest Funeral Home, Dallas,<br />

Texas. Foster & Good Funeral Home, <strong>Rochester</strong>, is in charge of local arrangements.<br />

Janet E. Hunt<br />

May 13, 1915 - July 8, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Janet E. HUNT, 81, Denver, formerly of Peru, died at 5:30 p.m. Monday at Regency<br />

Place, South Bend.<br />

Born in Peru to Elbert and Ethel BEHNEY ROGERS, she married Richard REINEKE on<br />

Oct. 24, 1936 in Peru. He preceded her in death on May 18, 1963. She then married Wilbur V.<br />

HUNT on Nov. 13, 1965 in Peru. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Peru, a<br />

1933 graduate of Peru High School, and a Peru Circus secretary. She also was one of the founders<br />

of the Peru Chamber of Commerce and active in creating the Holman School PTA, Peru. She<br />

retired from American Stationary Company, Peru in 1971 having worked there for 11 years. She<br />

and her husband owned and operated the Denver Hardware from 1977 until their retirement in<br />

1991.<br />

Preceding in death with her first husband are one brother, Elbert ROGERS Jr.<br />

Surviving are one son, Dr. Jan Richard REINEKE, South Bend; three daughters, Becky<br />

VENICE, Cottage Grove, Calif., Nancy TUBERTY, Franklin, Tenn., and Peggy BLAUVELT,<br />

South Bend; one step-son, Craig Knowles HUNT, Townshend, Vt.; three step-daughters, Diana<br />

BORSE, Alice, Texas, Marcia NILLSON, Calif., and Terry FORSECHA, Ala.; thirty-one<br />

grandchildren, and seventeen great-Grandchildren.<br />

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at McClain Funeral Home, Denver, with Rev. Virgil<br />

BAKER officiating. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. at Mount Hope Cemetery, Peru.<br />

Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Saturday.<br />

Memorials may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph <strong>County</strong>, 108 North Main Street, South<br />

Bend, 46601.<br />

Donald GARVISON, 69, <strong>Rochester</strong>, died at 7:45 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Medical<br />

Center, South Bend. Arrangements are pending at Foster & Good Funeral Home, <strong>Rochester</strong>.
