Freeda A. SULLIVAN HILL, 97, 315 Main St., died at 12:40 p.m. Sunday at <strong>Rochester</strong><br />

Life Care Center.<br />

She was born in Bracken to James O. and Mahala E. BOLINGER SULLIVAN. In 1927,<br />

she married Clyde WILSON, who preceded her in death. In 1947, she married Jack C. HILL, who<br />

died in 1975. She toured the United States and Canada performing in vaudeville as lead soloist<br />

with the B.F. Keith Troupe. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, <strong>Rochester</strong>, a<br />

member of the American Legion Auxiliary, and a 50-year member of Evergreen Rebekah Lodge<br />

of <strong>Rochester</strong>. She was a graduate of Metropolitan School of Music, Indianapolis.<br />

She had no immediate survivors.<br />

Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Funk Cemetery, Bracken, with the Rev.<br />

Jeff TAYLOR officiating.<br />

Zimmerman Family Funeral Home, <strong>Rochester</strong>, is in charge of the arrangements.<br />

Kenneth D. Smith<br />

March 15, 1928 - April 8, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Kenneth D. SMITH, 68, 509 S. Logan St., Kewanna, died at 11:49 a.m. Monday at St.<br />

Joseph Hospital, Kokomo.<br />

He was born in Kewanna to Chester and Violet NUTT SMITH. On Aug. 27, 1968, in<br />

Kewanna, he married Bonnie BROWNING, who survives. He was a retired parts manager from<br />

Powell Implement Co., Kewanna and served in the U.S. Army during World War II in China. He<br />

was a 1946 graduate of Kewanna High School and a member of United Methodist Church,<br />

Kewanna; life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1121, Kewanna; and American<br />

Legion, Logansport.<br />

Surviving with his wife are one son, Kevin SMITH, Indianapolis; two daughters, Kathy<br />

HARROLD, Argos; and Kim HOOVER, Star City; two step-daughters, Beverly BALDWIN,<br />

Kewanna; and Mary SCHNITZ, Mexico; two step-sons, Ronald BROWNING, Star City; and<br />

Robert BROWNING, <strong>Rochester</strong>; one sister, Anetta BESSE, Kewanna; nineteen grandchildren;<br />

and three great-grandchildren. Preceding in death were his parents and one granddaughter.<br />

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Harrison-Metzger Funeral Home, Kewanna<br />

Chapel, with the Rev. Denise DAVAULT officiating. Burial will be in the Bruce Lake Cemetery,<br />

Lake Bruce. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and after 8 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral<br />

home. Military services wil be conducted graveside. Memorials may be made to the American<br />

Cancer Society.
