Paul M. Schalliol<br />

May 10, 1915 - Aug. 6, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Paul M. SCHALLIOL, 81, <strong>Rochester</strong>, died at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday at his residence.<br />

Born in Mishawaka, he married Eleanor M. RAYMOND on Sept.1, 1937. She preceded<br />

him in death on Dec. 12, 1995. He had lived in Washington, Ind., from 1948 until 1986 when he<br />

moved back in to the South Bend area. He retired in 1978 as an assistant sales manager for<br />

Uniroyal. He was a member of the Elks, the library board, Director Emeritus of NASCO, all of<br />

Washington. He was also a World War II veteran serving with the U.S. Navy.<br />

Surviving are one son, James SCHALLIOL, M.D., Granger; one daughter, Linda<br />

CHANEY, Ivesdale, Ill.; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-gradchldren; and three brothers,<br />

Robert SCHALLIOL, Mishawaka, Herb SCHALLIOL, Denver, Colo., and Edgar SCHALLIOL,<br />

<strong>Rochester</strong>.<br />

Private family services will be held. Memorials may be made to Hope Hospice, P.O.<br />

Box. 621, <strong>Rochester</strong>.<br />

Meredith Cassidy<br />

Aug. 3, 1903 - Aug. 6, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Meredith CASSIDY, 93, <strong>Rochester</strong>, died at 10:40 p.m. Tuesday at Life Care Center.<br />

Born in Tipton to Laren J. NAYLOR and Jesse M. KENNEDY, she came to <strong>Rochester</strong><br />

from Marion. She was a graduate of Churubusco High School and Indiana University School of<br />

Nursing. She was a retired Registered Nurse at the V.A. Hospital in Pittsburgh, Penn She was a<br />

member of the First Presbyteria Church.<br />

Services will be at 2 p.m Friday at Owen-Weilert-Duncan Funeral Home, Marion, with<br />

Rev. James SNYDER officiating Burial will be at Grant Memorial Park, Marion. Visitation will<br />

be at noon Friday until the time of services at the funeral home.<br />

Memorias may be made to the Life Care Center of <strong>Rochester</strong> Activity Fund.<br />

Dora M. DeFord<br />

Oct. 27, 1895 - Aug. 7, 1998<br />

Dora Myrtle DeFORD, 100, Logansport, died at 8:25 a.m. Wednesday at Life Care<br />

Center of <strong>Rochester</strong>.<br />

Born in Anoka to George W. and Lucy Mary KROM KNIGHT, she married Charles<br />

DeFORD. He preceded her in death. She was a Licensed Parctical Nurse at Memorial Hospital<br />

and worked for RBM Corp. for 13 years. She was also a member of the Emmanuel Fellowship<br />

Church.<br />

Preceding her in death with her husband and parents were five brothers; one son,<br />

Raymond J. DeFORD; and one sister.<br />

Surviving are one granddaughter, Lora MIKESELL and her husband Kem, <strong>Rochester</strong>;<br />

two great-grandchildren, Brooke and Ceseste MIKESELL, both of <strong>Rochester</strong>; one daughter-inlaw,<br />

Lois DeFORD, <strong>Rochester</strong>; and one sister, Mildred SOUTH, Pensecola, Fa.<br />

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Fisher Funeral Chapel, Logansport, with Rev.<br />

Aaron E. ECHOLS and Rev. Alan CRAWFORD officiating. Burial will be at Clymers Cemetery,<br />

Clymers. Visitatio will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral chapel.
