Jessie L. Armstrong<br />

Aug. 11, 1926 - May 18, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Jessie L. ARMSTRONG, 69, Mexico, Ind., died at 5 a.m. Saturday at her residence.<br />

Born in <strong>Fulton</strong> <strong>County</strong> to Carl and Ruth AULT ALDERFR, she married William H.<br />

ARMSTRONG in 1948. He survives. She was a homemaker and member of the Jefferson Town<br />

and Country Home Extension Club and the Mexico Baptist Church Missionary Society.<br />

Preceding her in death are her parents; one granddaughter, Kimberly Kay<br />

ARMSTRONG; and two brothers, Lloyd and Fred ALDERFER.<br />

Surviving are daughter Ann CLARK, Peru, and son Eugene ARMSTRONG, Denver;<br />

three sisters, Ruby THOMPSON and Mary BRUCE both of Mentone, Phyllis SCHUSTER,<br />

LaPorte; six brothers, Earl ALDERFER, Fort Wayne, Myron ALDERFER, <strong>Rochester</strong>, Clyde<br />

ALDERFER, Mentone, Wayne ALDERFER, Cromwell, Howard ALDERFER, Warsaw, and<br />

Merle ALDERFER, Laketon; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.<br />

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Mexico Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby<br />

DAVIS officiating. Burial will be at the Greenlawn CEmetery, Mexico. Visitation will be from<br />

2-8 p.m Monday at the McClain Funeral Home and from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday at the church.<br />

Jay H. McAlister<br />

July 23, 1961 - May 17, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Jay H. McALISTER, 34, Akron, died at 11 p.m Friday at Methodist Hospital,<br />

Indianapolis.<br />

He was born in Peru to Harold and Nadine RIFE McALISTER. In 1981 he married<br />

Angela OLIBA in Chili. He worked for Dalton Foundry, Warsaw. He was a member of the<br />

Akron Church of God and the United Steel Workers Union. He was a 1979 graduate of North<br />

Miami High School.<br />

Surviving him are his wife, Angela McALISTER; his parents, Harold and Nadine<br />

McALISTER, Chili; children, Cameron and Julia McALISTER; one brother Guy McALISTER,<br />

and one sister Jeannine TOWNSEND, Gulfport, Miss.<br />

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Roann Chapel Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Home,<br />

Roann, with Pastor James MALBONE officiating.<br />

Burial will be in the Chili Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m Monday at the<br />

funeral home.
