June 16, 1916 - Dec. 15, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Veva Avis DONALDSON, 80, Peru, died at 8:10 p.m. Sunday at Timbercrest, North<br />

Manchester.<br />

Born in Macy to Leo F. and Leona DuBOIS AMBLER, she married John L.<br />

DONALDSON on June 24, 1939 in North Manchester. He died May 27, <strong>1996</strong>.<br />

She graduated from Plymouth High School in 1933 and from Manchester College in<br />

1935. She was a mother and a retired school teacher. She attended the Church of the Brethren,<br />

Mexico.<br />

She is survived by two daughters Suzanne McCLURE, North Mancheter, Nancy E.<br />

McGUIRE, Mexico; two sons, David J. DONALDSON and Mark L. DONALDSON, both of<br />

Peru; eleven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; and a brother Leo E. AMBLER, Plymouth.<br />

She was preceded in death by her husband and a sister JoAnn SHOEMAKER.<br />

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Church of the Brethren, Mexico, with the<br />

Rev. Jeff GRAHAM officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Mexico. Visitation is<br />

from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the McClain Funeral Home, Denver.<br />

Memorial contributions may be made to the Crestwood Dementia Wing, Timbercrest.<br />

Succulla Rodgers<br />

Succully RODGERS, 84, 600 Oakhill Ave., Plymouth, formerly of the Monterey area,<br />

died at 4:45 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Plymouth.<br />

<strong>The</strong> Bonine Funeral Home, Culver, is in charge of arrangements.<br />

Francis E LaTURNER, 85, 426 South Michigan St., Argos, died at 12:45 a.m. today at<br />

Woodlawn Hospital, <strong>Rochester</strong>.<br />

May 2, 1911 - Dec. 16, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Francis Eugene LaTURNER, 85, Argos died at 12:45 a.m. Monday at Woodlawn<br />

Hospital, <strong>Rochester</strong>.<br />

Born in Argos to William H. and Mary A. BEAM LaTURNER, he married J Margaret<br />

REED on July 29, 1933 in Crown Point; she died May, 1974. He later married LaBerta<br />

THORNBURG PATCH on Nov. 9, 1979; she survives.<br />

He was an accountant and bookkeeper for the former Gates Chevrolet Auto Agency,<br />

Argos, and had been employed by the Chevrolet Auto Agency, Dunkirk, in the same capacity. He<br />

had also been employed by the former Studebaker Corporation, South Bend.<br />

He graduated in 1929 from Argos High School as valedictorian. He served on the Argos<br />

<strong>Library</strong> Board, Argos Community School Board, and was a member of the Argos Bible Church.<br />

In addition to his wife he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Paul (Karen S.) ALLISON,<br />

Kokomo; one son Robert and wife Mary Helen LaTURNER, Lafayette; three step-daughters Jane<br />

MECHLING, Argos, Marilyn FRY, <strong>Rochester</strong>, Diana PATCH, Holland, Mich; one step-son Keith<br />

PATCH, Osteen, Fla., seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, seven step-grandchidren;<br />

four step-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Dorothy STRINGFELLOW, Goshen. He was
