Betty M. Kizer<br />

June 23, 1923 - March 16, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Betty Marie MOORE KIZER, 72, formerly of <strong>Rochester</strong>, died today in Eustis, Fla.<br />

She was born in <strong>Rochester</strong> to Russell D. and Pauline BRIGHT MOORE. In 1966 she<br />

married Myron Dean KIZER in Homestead, Fla. She lived in <strong>Rochester</strong> for 42 years before<br />

moving to Florida. She was a member of the First Church of God in <strong>Rochester</strong> and Homestead,<br />

Fla. She is a retired nurse.<br />

Preceding her in death are two sisters, Gwendolyn MOORE WARREN and Annabelle<br />

MOORE MATHEWS.<br />

Surviving are her huband, Myron Dean KIZER, Homestead, Fla.; three children, Linda<br />

NIX PERDUE, Indianapolis; David Patrick NIX, Houston, Texas and step-son Stephen KIZER,<br />

Sunnyvale, Calif; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.<br />

Graveside services will be at the Mentone Cemetery, Mentone, May 21 at 10:30 a.m.<br />

with Rev. Steve FLECK officiating A memorial service will be held May 18 at 11 a.m. at the<br />

First Church of God, <strong>Rochester</strong>.<br />

Manford C. Wood<br />

Sept. 19, 1915 - May 15, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Manford C. WOOD, 80, <strong>Rochester</strong>, died at 9:20 a.m. Wednesday at the <strong>Rochester</strong> Health<br />

Care Center.<br />

He was born in Dubuque, Iowa to Manford Evelson and Ethel Jane WYDMYER WOOD.<br />

He married Edna VANDERMARK in 1952 in Plymouth. He worked as truck driver and was a<br />

member of the Riverside Church and the Mentone Nutrition Site.<br />

Preceding him was his wife, Edna VANDERMARK in 1990; four brothers, Paul, Ralph,<br />

Claude and Lester [WOOD]; two sisters, Maude and Francis [WOOD]; and a step-grandson, Terry<br />

Glen WOOD.<br />

Surviving are two step-daughters, Shirley WOOD GREEN, Pierceton; Lestina WOOD<br />

HOWARD, Pierceton; four brothers, Clifford WOOD, Fa., and George, Floyd and Orville<br />

[WOOD], all of Waraw; one sister, Garnet KREBS, Warsaw; seven step-grandchildren; and<br />

several step-great-grandchildren.<br />

Services will be held 7 p.m May 17 at King Memorial Home, Mentone. Viewing will be<br />

May 17 from 5-7 p.m. at King Memorial Home with Pastor Rodney RUBERG officiting. Burial<br />

will be at the Mentone Cemetery, Mentone.<br />

Josephine Carter<br />

Jan. 12, 1910 - March 12, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Josephine KIZER CARTER, 86, Vero Beach, Fla., died March 12, at Indian River<br />

Memorial Hospital, Vero Beach, Fla.<br />

She was born in Mentone to Myron Dean ad Cloe BOGGS KIZER. She married<br />

Jennings D. CARTER in 1935 in St. Louis, Mo. She worked as a secretary.<br />

Surviving are her husband Jennings D. CARTER, Evansville and one brother, Myron D.<br />

KIZER.<br />

Services will be at Mentone Cemetery, Mentone, a 10:30 a.m. Tuesday with the Eev.<br />

Greg RITTENHOUSE officiating.
