Dennis C. McNeil<br />

Aug. 30, 1940 - July 30, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Former <strong>Rochester</strong> resident Dennis Camblin McNEIL, 55, died July 30, in Ferndale,<br />

Washington.<br />

Born in <strong>Rochester</strong> to Donald E. and Joan CAMBLIN McNEIL, he was a graduate of<br />

Rochesrter High School, attended Bellingham, Wash. Technical College, and served in the U.S.<br />

Air Force. He was purchasing agent for Nordic Yacht Co An award winning artist, he was also<br />

an avid gold panner, camper and fisherman.<br />

He is survived by a daughrtr, Marcella MARTINEZ and a step-son, Michael<br />

SUNDERLIN, both of Bellingham, Wash.; and three grandchildren. Also surviving are his<br />

mother, Mrs. Joan McNEIL, and a sister, Sheila KNIGHT, both of Ferndale, Wash. He was<br />

preceded in death by his father and one infant sister.<br />

Services were held in Ferndale on Aug. 3. Burial will be in the <strong>Rochester</strong> I.O.O.F.<br />

Cemetery. <strong>The</strong>re are no local services planned. Zimmerman Family Funeral Home, <strong>Rochester</strong>, is<br />

in charge of local arrangements.<br />

Wayne J. Winterrowd<br />

July 29, 1910 - August 21, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Wayne J. WINTERROWD, 86, <strong>Rochester</strong>, died at 12:45 p.m. Wednesday at Woodlawn<br />

Hospital. He had been in failing health for one year.<br />

Born in Tippecanoe to J.D. and Nellie MAZE WINTERROWD, he married Clara Ruth<br />

MATTHEWS on Aug. 16, 1941 in Lafayette. She survives. He lived most of his life in the<br />

Marshall and <strong>Fulton</strong> counties and resded in <strong>Rochester</strong> since 1967. He was an Indiana Motor Bus<br />

driver for 36 years, retiring in 1975. A WW-II Air Force veteran who served on a B-29 base, he<br />

was a member of the LeRoy Shelton American Legion Post 36, <strong>Rochester</strong>, and also a member of<br />

the Methodist Church, Tippecanoe.<br />

Surviving besides his wife are eight grandchildren, Alice KATER, Buchanan, Mich.,<br />

Marylyn ROBERTS, Houston, Texas, Rachelle WINTERROWD and Richard WINTERROWS,<br />

Mishawaka, Kenneth WINTERROWS and Brett WINTERROWD, Indianapolis, Mark<br />

WINTERROWD, Hebron, and Allen WINTERROWD, Bluffton. He is also survived by a<br />

daughter-in-law, Mrs. Patti WINTERROWD, Martinsville; two sisters, Delta SCHROME,<br />

Bremen, and Wauneta ELLIOTT, Plymouth; and a brother, Robert M. “Max” WINTERROWD,<br />

<strong>Rochester</strong>.<br />

Preceding him in death were his parents; a son, Kenneth Wayne WINTERROWD; two<br />

sisters, Elma FANNING and Alta BEST; and a brother, George WINTERROWD.<br />

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Foster & Good Funeral Home, <strong>Rochester</strong> with<br />

Rev. Junior BOSE officiating. Burial will be at Tippecanoe Cemetery, Tippecanoe. Visitation<br />

will be 5-7 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to services at the funeral home Saturday.
