January 19, 1922 - May 25, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Mary Alice KINTER, 74, Peru, died at 11:25 a.m. Saturday at Miller’s Merry Manor,<br />

Peru.<br />

Bor in Denver to Thomas and Goldie SURFACE OGLE, she was a homemaker and<br />

member of the Baptist Church.<br />

Preceding her in death are her first husbad, Richard Vaughn WRIGHT; second husband,<br />

Leslie Frank KINTER; and three brothers, Earl, Russell ad Cecil OGLE.<br />

Surviving are four children, Richard L. WRIGHT, Lafayette, James E. WRIGHT,<br />

Denver, Connie R. JUDY, Peru, and Jerry WRIGHT, North Manchester; one step-daughter, Mae<br />

BALDWIN, Peru; one step-son, Don CHICK, Peru; and several step-gradchildren and step-greatgrandchildren.<br />

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at McClain Funeral Home, Denver with<br />

Pastor Steve BATE officiating. Burial will be at Westlawn Cemetery, Denver with visitation from<br />

2-8 p.m. on Tuesday at McClain Funeral Home.<br />

Gene Irwin<br />

Oct. 22, 1932 - May 27, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Gene IRWIN, 63, Argos, died at 12:12 a.m. on Monday at Saint Joseph Hospital of<br />

Marshall <strong>County</strong>.<br />

Born in Argos to Francis and Mabel GARNER IRWIN, he married Delores FITES in<br />

1951. He lived his entire life in Argos and was an engineer and draftsman employed by the<br />

former Bendix Corp., now Allied Signal Corp., South Bend. He retired in 1994 with 30 years of<br />

service. He was also a member of the Argos United Methodist church and Argos American<br />

Legion Post 68 and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.<br />

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Melvin [IRWIN].<br />

Surviving are his wife, Delores, Argos; one daughter, Colette KNOTT, Zionsville; one<br />

son, Curtis IRWIN, Bourbon; two grandsons, Aaron and Stefan KNOTT, Zionsville; one sister,<br />

Nyla SNYDER, Argos; one brother, Gerald IRWIN and his wife Lola, Plymouth; and several<br />

nieces and nephews.<br />

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m on Thursday at Argos United Methodist Church,<br />

Argos, with Revs. Robin SMITH and Roy FISHBURN officiating. Burial will be at Argos Maple<br />

Grove Cemetery, Argos. Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday and one<br />

hour before services at the Grossman Funeral Home, Argos.<br />

Memorials can be made to the Argos Emergency Medical Service or the American Heart<br />

Association.
