Elizabeth “Betty” McKEE 85, died at Thurston Woods Village, Sturgis, Mich.<br />

Born in Constantine, Mich., to Herbert and Floy MUIRHEAD MASON, she married<br />

Warren S. McKEE on April 23, 1932, in Waterloo, Iowa. He preceded her in death on Dec. 28,<br />

1989. She graduated from high school in Toledo, Iowa in 1932, was a homemaker and helped on<br />

the family farm She was a member of the Colon United Methodist Church, the Colon United<br />

Methodist Women, and the St. Joseph <strong>County</strong> Farm Bureau.<br />

She is survived by two daughters, Kathryn McKEE, Kalamazoo, Mich., Mrs. Ralph<br />

(Janet) SMITH, Port Richey, Fla; one son John W. McKEE, D.V.M., Rocheter and Akron; six<br />

grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.<br />

Graveside funeral services and interment will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Constantine<br />

Cemetery, Mich., with the Rev. Ray D. FLESSNER of the Colon United Methodist Church<br />

officiating. <strong>The</strong>re is no visitation. Schipper Funeral Home, Ltd. is in charge of arrangements.<br />

Memorials may vbe made to the Colon United Methodist Church.<br />

William E. Gooch<br />

Oct. 14, 1901 - Dec. 30, <strong>1996</strong><br />

William E. “Joe” GOOCH, 95, <strong>Rochester</strong>, died at 10:20 p.m. Monday at Life Care<br />

Center.<br />

Born to Andrw Jackson and Laura Belle HOLTZCLAW GOOCH, he married Alva Mae<br />

DeLONG on June 14, 1924 in Kokomo. She died Oct. 4, 1975. He owned the W.E. Gooch Road<br />

Construction Company, <strong>Rochester</strong>. He was a member of Rensselaer Masonic Lodge, South Bend<br />

Scottish Rite and Fort Wayne Mizpah Shrine.<br />

He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. William (Barbara) CESSNA, Bruce Lake; three<br />

grandchildren Deb CESSNA, West Lafayette, Mrs. Tim (Jan) BRUCE, Remington, Mrs. Kevin<br />

(Kim) HAZLETT, <strong>Rochester</strong>; six great-grandchildren; and one sister Mrs. Alene HALLOCK,<br />

Henderdsonville, N.C. He was preceded in death by one granddaughter Denise Ann CESSNA,<br />

three brothers and two sisters.<br />

Private famiy services will be Thursday at the Zimmerman Famiy Funeral Home,<br />

<strong>Rochester</strong>. Burial will be in <strong>Rochester</strong> I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Visitation is from 12 to 2 p.m.<br />

Thursday.
