Annabell L. KONIECZNY, 82, 125 VBelden St., LaPorte, died at 8:20 a.m. Friday at<br />

Michigan City Health Care Center following a lengthy illness.<br />

She was born in <strong>Rochester</strong>. On April 25, 1931 in LaPorte she married Ben S.<br />

KONIECZNY, who died Jan. 26, 1993. She was a homemaker and cosmetic agent for Vivian<br />

Woodard Cosmetics. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Fraternal Order of<br />

Eagles, Sacred Heart and Rosary Society, the Swanson Center for Senior Citizens, Michiana<br />

Shores Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary and the Indiana Volunteer Firemans Association<br />

Auxiliary.<br />

Surviving are two daughters, Leona URYGA, Michiga City; and Sharon HUGHES,<br />

LaPorte; one son, James [KONIECZNY], Las Vegas, Nev.; seven grandchildren; one greatgrandson;<br />

one brother, Charles CUNNINGHAM, LaPorte; nieces and nephews. Preceding in<br />

death with her husband were one son, Benjamin [KONIECZNY], one daughter, Mary Ann<br />

[KONIECZNY], one sister and three brothers.<br />

Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with the Rev.<br />

John J. STREBIG officiating. Burial will be in the Patton Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-8<br />

p.m. Sunday and from 8-9:30 a.m. Monday at Essling funeral Home, 1117 Indiana Ave., LaPorte.<br />

the Indiana Volunteer Firemans Association Auxiliary will conduct a memorial service at 6:30<br />

p.m. and the rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.<br />

Nov. 22, 1912 - Oct. 5, <strong>1996</strong><br />

<strong>The</strong>odore R. “Beech” CARLSON, 83, formerly of Kewana, died at 12:10 a.m. Saturday<br />

at his Winamac residece.<br />

Born in White <strong>County</strong> to Frank and Mary Alice THAYER CARLSON, he married<br />

Maudie KAHLER on Feb. 5, 1938 in White <strong>County</strong>; she survives. He was a retired farmer and a<br />

former cream hauler for Kruger Sweet Cream, Monon. A member of Pleasant Hill United<br />

Methodist Church, Lake Bruce, he liked to camp, travel and to be with friends and family.<br />

In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons, Larry and wife Teresa CARLSON,<br />

North Judson, Richard “Dick” and wife Vickie CARLSON, La Fontaine; a daughter, Mary and<br />

husand Bill HENRY, Winamac; ten grandchildren, Glenda URBIN and Tim CARLSON, both of<br />

Kewanna; Cindy EISBRENNER, Ft. Wayne, Tedd CARLSON, Paulding, Ohio, Rick CARLSON,<br />

Muncie, Dawn CARLSON, Fla., Nicki LOCKE, North Manchester, Holly LOCKE, Winamac,<br />

Joshua HENRY and Jacob HENRY, both of Royal Center, and nine great-grandchildren. He is<br />

also survived by a brother, Charles CARLSON, Winamac. He was preceded in death by six<br />

brothers and seven sisters.<br />

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Pleasant Hill United Methodist church<br />

with the Rev. <strong>The</strong>o BARBER and Rev. Mike BEALL officiatig. Burial will be at McKinley<br />

Memorial Gardens, Winamac. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Harrison-Metzger Funeral<br />

Home, Kewanna, and for one hour prior to services at the church.<br />

Memorial contributions may be made to Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, Lake<br />

Bruce.
