Nov. 24, 1906 - June 19, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Bertha Mae WIEKAMP, 89, died at 4:28 a.m. Wednesday at Monticello Healthcare<br />

Center.<br />

Born in Ladysmith, Wis. to Ole E. and Lena JEHNEL ANDERSON, she married Walter<br />

G WIEKAMP. He preceded her in death in January of 1993. She had lived in the Monticello<br />

community since 1992, having come from Mishawaka, where she had lived from 1920-1988. She<br />

was a resident of Life Care Center, <strong>Rochester</strong>, from 1999-1992. After teaching school in Rusk<br />

<strong>County</strong>, Wis. for one yer, she then became an accountant for Ball BAnd which later became<br />

Uniroyal in Mishawaka for 40 years. She was a member of the Business Professional Women’s<br />

Club, South Bend.<br />

Preceding her in death with her husbad were one sister, Edna SMITHBURN and three<br />

brothers.<br />

Surviving are one nephew, Jeff SMITHBURN, Indianapolis, and one sister, Patricia<br />

HENDRICKS, Sioux Falls, South Dakota.<br />

No services or visittion are scheduled. Burial will take place at Bruce Cemetery, Bruce,<br />

Wis. Arrangements are being made by Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home, Monticello.<br />

Bernard M. Morrison<br />

Aug. 23, <strong>1996</strong> - June 19, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Bernard Miles MORRISON, 79, Mentone, died at 1:10 p.m. Wednesday at his brother’s<br />

home in Mentone.<br />

Born in Burket to Omer and Isabel REGONS MORRISON, he married Ada<br />

WHETSTONE on July 29, 1955. She preceded him in death June 11, 1990. He worked at Dalton<br />

Foundries, Warsaw, and was a member of the American Legion Post No. 49, Warsaw. He was<br />

also a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army.<br />

Preceding him in death with his wife were two brothers and one sister.<br />

Surviving are one brother, Richard MORRISON and his wife Deloris, Mentone, with<br />

Rev. Tom EVERETT, chaplain of the Americn Legion, officiating Graveside military rites wil be<br />

conducted by the American Legion at the Mentone Cemetery. Visitation wil; be from 2-4 p.m.<br />

and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.<br />

Memorials may be made to the Kosciusko <strong>County</strong> Hospitce.<br />
