DeVon P. Pfeiffer<br />

Mar. 19, 1922 - April 25, <strong>1996</strong><br />

DeVon P. PFEIFFER, 74, 401 Alexander St., Plymouth, died at 9:35 p.m. Thursday at<br />

Memorial Hospital, South Bend, from complications following surgery.<br />

He was born in Bremen to Forrest and Iva FEICHTER PFEIFFER. On Feb. 14, 1993 in<br />

Plymouth he married Sylvia SMITH SNYDER, who survives. He lived in <strong>Rochester</strong> before<br />

movig to Bourbon and then to Plymouth in 1987. He was a carpenter for Village Green Homes,<br />

Etna Green, retiring in 1985. He was a life member of the <strong>Rochester</strong> VFW and American Legion.<br />

He was a World War II veteran serving as a paratrooper in the Army Air Corps.<br />

Survivig with his wife are three step-daughters, Mrs. Jerry (Marilyn) MUSTAIN, Otis,<br />

Colo.; Mrs. Sam (Peggy) FISHER, Lakevile, and Mrs. Steve (Brenda) CLARK, Plymouth; two<br />

step-sos, Larry and Kathy SNYDER and Ronald SNYDER, both of Plymouth; six stepgrandchildren;<br />

two step-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and three brothers, Forrest<br />

[PFEIFFER], <strong>Rochester</strong>; Willis [PFEIFFER], Silver Lake, and Richard [PFEIFFER], Teegarden.<br />

Services will be at 10:30 a.m Monday at Johnson=Danielso Funeral Home, Plymouth,<br />

with the Rev. Bill HUFFER officiating. Burial will be in the New Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth.<br />

Military Graveside rites will be conducted by the VFW. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.<br />

Sunday. Memorials may be made to the First Church of the Nazarene.<br />

William R. McHenry<br />

June 25, 1913 - April 26, <strong>1996</strong><br />

William R. McHENRY, 82, 717 Maple Lane, Brownsburg, died at 6:30 a.m. Friday at St.<br />

Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis.<br />

He was born in Denver to Albert Ross and Oatie ROBBINS McHENRY. On April 6,<br />

1936 at South Bend he married Martha J. GREEN, who survives.<br />

He was a conductor for the C&O Railroad. He retired in 1972 after 30 years of service.<br />

He was a member of the United Methodist Church and a 50-year member of the Mexico Masonic<br />

Lodge.<br />

Surviving with his wife are one daughter, Jane E. MOON, Greenwood; one son, Jack D.<br />

[McHENRY], Brownsburg; three granddaughters, Angela, Carmen and Sara [McHENRY], all of<br />

Brownsburg; one sister, Pauline BRANDT, Indianapolis, and one brother, Rex [McHENRY],<br />

Peru. Preceding in death were his parents, one daughter, Bonnie Jean [McHENRY], and one<br />

sister, Beulah AULT.<br />

Masonic services will be at 2 p.m Monday at McClain Funeral Home, Denver, with the<br />

Rev. Mark METZ, officiating. Burial will be in the Westlawn Cemetery, Denver. Friends may<br />

call after 11 a.m. Monday.
