Dot G. SMITH, 91, former resident on Barrett Road, Lake Manitou, died at 7:30 a.m.<br />

Sunday at <strong>Rochester</strong> Health Care Center, where she had resided since May 8, 1987.<br />

She was born in Kokomo to Earl and Maude LOWLETT SALLEE. On March 11, 1926,<br />

in Kokomo, she married Victor L. SMITH, who died on Dec. 18, 1960. She had been a resident of<br />

Rocheser for many years, having come from Lake Bruce, and prior to that, Kokomo. She was a<br />

bookkeeper and office manager for the late Dr. D.K. STINSON for many years. She was a<br />

member of the Trinity United Methodist Church and Order of the Eastern Star Chapter No. 70,<br />

both of <strong>Rochester</strong>; and the Kewanna Mothers Club.<br />

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Larry (Carol) OLMSTEAD, Wabash; two<br />

grandchildren, Beth OLMSTEAD, Philadelphia, Pa.; ad David OLMSTEAD, Greencastle; and<br />

one great-grandson, Joe OLMSTEAD, Greencastle. Preceding in death was one brother, Frank<br />

SALLEE.<br />

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Foster & Good Funeral Home, <strong>Rochester</strong>.<br />

Burial will be in the <strong>Rochester</strong> I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour<br />

before services.<br />

May 29, 1920 - Feb. 19, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Dora Louise CHISM SMOKER, 75, 478 Ferry St., Wabash, died at 1:04 a.m. Monday at<br />

Wabash <strong>County</strong> Hospital.<br />

She was born in Greenburg to Sherman F. and Etta Mae MARTIN LANE. On April 20,<br />

1938, she married Kelsie H. CHISM, who died on Dec. 29, 1971. On Nov. 26, 1975, she married<br />

Ernest SMOKER, who survives. She was an employee at Wabash <strong>County</strong> Hospital, retiring in<br />

May 1985. She was a member of the Santa Fe United Methodist Church and also attended<br />

Wabash First Brethren Church.<br />

Surviving with her husband are one daughter, Nancy HOLLER, Denver; two sons,<br />

Sherman and Dale CHISM, both of Peru; eight step-children, Ernest SMOKER Jr., and Edward<br />

SMOKER, both of <strong>Rochester</strong>; Richard SMOKER, Lawreceburg, Shelby BREECE, Warsaw,<br />

Phyllis Ann SMITH, Terry SMOKER and Dennis SMOKER, all of Ocala, Fla.; and James<br />

SMOKER, Tacoma, Wash.; ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and fifteen stepgrandchildren.<br />

Preceding in death were one daughter, Mary Etta JEWELL, who died in 1993; two<br />

brothers, Louis and Bill LANE; and one sister, Ruth DONICA.<br />

Services were at 10:30 a.m. today at Laird Funeral Home, Amboy, with the Revs.<br />

Thomas DAUGHERTY and Ron SIDERS officiating. Burial was in the Park Lawn Cemetery.
