Ralph V. RADER, 89, Indiana 114 East, P.O. Box 55, Akron, died at 9 p.m. Sunday at<br />

his residence.<br />

He was born near Disko to Charles E. and Tressie RAGER RADER. In 1924, in Akron,<br />

he married Grace I. MILLER, who died on Nov 14, 1995. He lived his entire life in the Disko and<br />

Akron communities He was a retired farmer and former Henry Township Trustee in <strong>Fulton</strong><br />

<strong>County</strong> from 1944-1952. He served five terms (1954-1965) in the Indiana State House of<br />

Represetatives where he chaired and served on several comittees, he was administrative assistat to<br />

the Speaker of the House of Representatives for 14 years, and he was appointed a Sagamore of the<br />

Wabash by Gov. Otis Bowen.<br />

He served on the Akron <strong>Public</strong> <strong>Library</strong> Board, attended the Laketon and Akron <strong>Public</strong><br />

Schools, was a member of the Akron United Methodist Church, Gilead Masonic Lodge, and<br />

Scottish Rite and Mizpah Shrine temples, both of Fort Wayne.<br />

Surviving are one son, Richard C. and wife LaDonna RADER, Akron; one<br />

granddaughter, Mrs. Rick (Candace) NEWELL, Akron; and several nieces and nephews.<br />

Preceding in death were two brothers, Rex and Eugene RADER.<br />

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Foster & Good Funeral Home, Akron, with the<br />

Rev. Mark BERG officiating Burial will be in the Akron Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-<br />

4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. through the hour of service Wednesday at the funeral<br />

home. Memorials may be made to the Akron United Methodist Church.<br />

Chase Lenvel STONE, four=month infant son of Jeffrey and Rise STONE, 19043<br />

Michigan Road, Argos, died at 5 p.m Wednesday, Jan. 24, at St. Joseph’s Hospital of Marshall<br />

<strong>County</strong>, Plymouth.<br />

Surviving are his parents, Jeffrey and Rise RICH STONE; sister, Emilee [STONE]; and<br />

brother, Kole [STONE], all of Argos; maternal grandparents, Lloyd and Eunice BETZ RICH,<br />

Valparaiso; paternal grandparents, Larry and Ethel McKENZIE STONE, Argos; and several aunts,<br />

uncles and cousins.<br />

Services were at 11 a.m Saturday at the Argos Baptist Church, with the Rev. Robert<br />

MACE officiatig. Burial was in the Argos Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos.
