May 27, 1915 - August 17, 1996
Ernest R. THOMAS, 81, died at 9:25 p.m. Saturday at his Warsaw residece.
Born in South Bend to Charles A. and Mollie E. LEEDY THOMAS, he married Dorothy
BURWELL on July 14, 1940. She preceded him in death on June 5, 1992. He had lived in the
Warsaw area since 1952 and was employed at Warsaw Foundry for 42 years. He retired as night
watchman in 1993. He was a member of North Winona Church of the Brethren, Warsaw.
He is survived by two daughters, Annabella EVANS, Winona Lake, and Romona
HEKTOR, Rochester; one son, Charles H. THOMAS, Warsaw; eleven grandchildren and twelve
great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. Services will be at
McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Pastors Lester YOUNG
and David EASTIS officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw. Visitation will be
Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
Allie B. Wilson
Sept. 25, 1903 - August 17, 1996
Allie B. WILSON, 92, died at 12:18 a.m. Saturday at his Peru residece.
Born in Miami County to George and Emma Jane BUTT WILSON, he married Mildred
Luella SMITH on Oct. 8, 1936 in Bowling Green, Ohio. She died May 9, 1943. He then married
Wilma TEMPLIN HANN in Wabash County on June 23, 1949; she survives.
A retired Mami County farmer, he graduated from Peru High School in 1922. He was a
member of the Peoria United Methodist Church.
He is survived by two sons, George WILSON and Allie R. WILSON, Peru; one step-son,
Terry HANN, Wabash; three daughters, Mrs. Lewis (Shirley) HALTERMAN, Peru; Mrs. Mike
(Amy) NICCUM and Mrs. Dan (Lana) UNDERWOOD of Wabash; a step-daugher, Mrs. Robert
(Nancy) GIPSON of Pineville, Ky.; twety-four grandchildren and thirty-four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers ad five sisters.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home with the Rev.
Melissa RICE officiating, with burial at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m and
6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home
Memorial contributios may be made through the funeral home to the Peoria United
Methodist Church or Dukes Memorial Hospital Living Tribute Fund.
Jo Mason
Oct. 21, 1918 - Aug. 17, 1996
Jo MASON, 77, died Saturday at Community East Hospital, Indianapolis.
She was married to Lewis J. MASON who preceded her in death. She was a homemaker
and a member of the Cumberland Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and the International
Order of King Daughters. She is survived by a daughter, LuAnn KRUG, and two grandchildren.
She is also survived by two sisters, Evadean DEARDORFF and Margaret NEWMAN, and one
brother, Otis HALTERMAN, Rocheser.
Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home, Monticello
and burial will be in Indian Creek Cemetery, Pulaski County. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m
Tuesday at the Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, Indianapolis, and from noon until
the time of service on Wednesday at the Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home in Monticello.
