Harry L. SCHRAM, 82, Marion, died at 5:15 a.m. Tuesday at South Suburba Hospital,<br />

Hazel Crest, Ill.<br />

He had lived in Marion since 1947, having come from Ravinia, Ill. He retired as a<br />

salesman for Abbott Laboratories in 1978. He was a memver of Saint Paul Catholic Church, the<br />

Holy Name Society, Grant <strong>County</strong> Pharmaceutical Society, the Meshingomesia Country Club, the<br />

American Legion, treasurer of Candlewood Association, past president of the FIA, past president<br />

of the Area Planning Commission, and Republican Precinct Committee Chairman Center 18. He<br />

graduated from Hynes School of Pharmacy and also attended Northwestrn University, Evanston,<br />

Ill.<br />

Surviving are his wife, Ruth M. SCHRAM, Marion; two daughtrs, B.K Elizabeth<br />

MAHER, Flossmore, Ill., and Jeanne Marie McLELLAND, Bloomington; two sons, Donald Louis<br />

SCHRAM, Northbrook, Ill., and Harry Lawrence SCHRAM Jr., Morton Grove, Ill.; and eleven<br />

gradchildren.<br />

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Saint Paul Catholic Church with Rev. Duane<br />

CRAYCRAFT officiating. Burial will be at the Assumption Cemetery, Glenwood, Ill., with<br />

committal to be at 11 a.m. Saturday also at the cemetery. Friends may call from 3-9 p.m.<br />

Thursday at Raven Funeral Home, Marion. <strong>The</strong> rosary will be said at 8 p.m. on Thursday.<br />

Memorials may be made to the Saint Paul Catholic School Community Foundation Fund<br />

of Grant Co., Marion.<br />

Clifford W. Butcher<br />

Dec. 20, 1917 - June 20, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Clifford W. BUTCHER, 78, <strong>Rochester</strong>, died at 7:55 a.m. Thursday at <strong>Rochester</strong> Health<br />

Care Center.<br />

Born in Kokomo to Clifford W. and Bessie RESLEY BUTCHER Sr., he married Madge<br />

A. ODEN, Sept. 1, 1950 in Kokomo. She preceded him in death Nov. 25, 1986. He retired from<br />

American Standard Corp., Kokomo. He was a member of the American Legion, Veterans of<br />

Foreign Wars, Order of Eagles, and the Manitou Moose Lodge, all of <strong>Rochester</strong>, and the Kokomo<br />

Masonic Lodge. He was a U.S. Marine during World War II, serving in the Pacific <strong>The</strong>ater.<br />

Preceding him in death with his wife were one sister, Gretchen MOSIER and two<br />

brothers, Jim and Paul BUTCHER.<br />

Surviving are three daughters, Patsy NOEL, Bloomington, Mary Catherine RUDDELL,<br />

Kokomo, and Johanna ARNOLD, New Haven, Conn.; fourteen grandchildren; twelve greatgrandchildren;<br />

two great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Ida MURPHY, <strong>Rochester</strong>; one brother,<br />

Charles BUTCHER, Seminole, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.<br />

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Albright Cemetery, Kokomo. Visitation<br />

will be from 3-7 p.m. Sunday at the Zimmerman Family Funeral Home, <strong>Rochester</strong>. Graveside<br />

military rites will be conducted by the American Legion and VFW Posts.<br />

Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
