Feb. 9, 1914 - Dec. 17, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Mary M. VanDerWEELE, 82, formerly of Argos, died at Evanston Hospital Hospice,<br />

Evanston, Ill.<br />

Born in Ohio to Patrick J. and Catherine SHUE FUREY, she married Gerald William<br />

VanDerWEELE, who died in 1962. She was a homemaker and a 10-year member of the Elk<br />

Grove Senior Citizens Center. She had lived in Elk Grove Village, Ill., ad Mount Prospect, Ill.<br />

She is survived by a daughter, Donna Marie VanDerWEELE PUTZ; a son William<br />

Rodger VanDerWEELE; five gradchildren, Debra Lynn WEINEL, Brian William<br />

VanDerWEELE, Lori Ann VanDerWEELE, Glen Thomas VanDerWEELE, Daniel William<br />

PUTZ; two great-grandchildren, William WEINEL and Jonathon WEINEL. In addition to her<br />

parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret E. GAST.<br />

Graveside services are at 1 p.m. Friday at the Crown Hill Cemetery, Knox. where she<br />

will be buried. Visitation is after 11 a.m. through noon Friday at the Grossman Funeral Home,<br />

Argos.<br />

Memorial contriutions may be made to the Hospice of the North Shore, Evanston, Ill.<br />

Ted C. Frey<br />

April 28, 1920 - Dec. 18, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Ted C. FREY, 76, Logansport, died at 2:25 p.m. Wednesday a his residence.<br />

Born in Miami <strong>County</strong> to G.L. and Mildred CONN FREY, he married Eileen JONES on<br />

May 11, 1942 at Biloxi, Miss.; she survives. He was a 1938 graduate of Washington Township<br />

School and had retired from the U.S. Air Force as a major in 1962 after 21 years of service. He<br />

was an aircraft mechanic and pilot during World War II. He had also worked at Jackson-Kitchel,<br />

was a barber, and had worked in civil service at Grissom Air Force Base. He was a member of<br />

Anoka United Methodist Church, Logansport Eagles Lodge 323, American Legion Post 60 and<br />

Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3790; a member of the B-29 Association, the 7th Bomb Wing<br />

Division, and was one of the first members of the Strategic Air Command.<br />

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Debbie FREY, Logansport,<br />

Donna and husband Paul McGAUGHEY, <strong>Rochester</strong>; a son, Randy and wife Patti FREY,<br />

Indianapolis; four grandchildren, Tina and Kyle McGAUGHEY, Abigail and Chandler FREY; a<br />

sister, Carrol Lou DOZIER, Indianapolis; three brothers, Conn FREY, Walton, Neal FREY,<br />

Logansport, and Kent FREY, Kokomo. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cathy FREY,<br />

and a sister.<br />

Services are at 10:30 a.m Saturday at McCloskey-Hamilton-Gundrum Funeral Home,<br />

1603 East Broadway St., Logansport, with Rev. Rob NELSON officiating Burial will be in Rock<br />

Creek Cemetery, Logansport, with full military graveside rites. Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m.<br />

Friday at the funeral home.<br />

Memorial contributions may be made to Anoka United Methodist Church.<br />

Naomi FURNIVALL, 64, 329 W. 8th St., <strong>Rochester</strong>, died at 9:35 a.m. today at<br />

Woodlawn Hospital. Arragements are pending at Foster & Good Funeral Home, <strong>Rochester</strong>.
