Roger C. SWANSON, 64, Nyona Lake and Tampa, Fla., died at 7:25 a.m. Thursday at<br />

Brandon Memorial Hospital, Brandon, Fla.<br />

Born in Twelve Mile to Clarence C. and Hazel D. SLIFER SWANSON, he married<br />

Rosemary L. RHODES on Sept. 6, 1952 at the home of the late Rev. C.F.GOLDEN near Denver.<br />

She survives.<br />

He graduated from Twelve Mile High School in 1950 and was a Korea War veteran. He<br />

was a former Cass <strong>County</strong> Highway supervisor and agent for Logansport Metal Culvert Co.,<br />

Logansport. He was a member of the Over <strong>The</strong> Hill Gang, Twelve Mile, Royal Center Masonic<br />

Lodge, Royal Center, and the Scottish Rite, Fort Wayne Valley, Fort Wayne<br />

In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters Teresa HOAGLAND, Cape Coral,<br />

Fla., Chris TOWNSEND, Twelve Mile; one son Jeff SWANSON, Twelve Mile, five<br />

grandchildren, two step-grandchildren; and three aunts Clarice SWANK, Twelve Mile, Ethel<br />

PETTIT, Tampa, Fla., and Mildred SLIFER, Swayzee.<br />

Services are at 11 a.m. Monday at the McClain Funeral Home, Denver, with the Rev.<br />

Mark METZ officiatig. Burial is in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Twelve Mile. Vsitation is from 2<br />

to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.<br />

Harold L. Poorman<br />

May 13, 1922 - Dec. 18, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Harold L. POORMAN, 74, <strong>Fulton</strong>, died at 12:22 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Hospital,<br />

Logansport.<br />

Born in <strong>Fulton</strong> to William J. and Zilphia L. REED POORMAN, he married Alpha J<br />

WILLS on June 5, 1953 in <strong>Rochester</strong>. She survives. He was a member of the Logansport Eagles<br />

Lodge 323.<br />

In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter Debra Kay SHAFFER, <strong>Fulton</strong>; a<br />

grandson Jamison A. SHAFFER, <strong>Fulton</strong>, one sister Helen KALEY, Park Rapids, Minn.; several<br />

nieces and nephews; and friends Patty and Lee SHAFER. He was preceded in death by one sister<br />

Mary Jean CLELAND.<br />

Services are at 1:30 p.m Saturday at McCloskey-Hamilton-Gundrum Funeral Home,<br />

1603 East Broadway St., Logansport, with the Rev. George HAPNER officiating. Burial will be<br />

in the <strong>Fulton</strong> Cemetery, <strong>Fulton</strong>. Visitation is from 1:30 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.<br />

Darl SHIDLER, 84, Kewanna, died at 6:28 p.m. Friday at Life Care Center.<br />

Arrangements are pending at Foster & Good Funeral Home.
