A <strong>Fulton</strong> woman was killed Wednesday in a two-car crash on Indiana 114 near Wabash<br />

<strong>County</strong> Road 300 West, west of North Manchester.<br />

Marynelle BARNES, 45, Dunn and Wright streets, was pronounced dead on arrival at<br />

Wabash <strong>County</strong> Hospitl in Wabash.<br />

Gaylord MILLER of Columbia City was also injured in the crash. He was transferrd<br />

from Wabash <strong>County</strong> Hospital to Kosciusko Community Hospital in Warsaw with multiple<br />

injuries<br />

<strong>The</strong> accident occurred about 9:20 a.m. accordig to the Wabash <strong>County</strong> Sheriff’s<br />

Department.<br />

Wabash <strong>County</strong> Sheriff Timothy A. ROBERTS said Miller was west bound on Indiana<br />

114, Barnes was east bound on Indiana 114.<br />

Roberts said it appears Roberts was attempting to pass a vehicle and drove into the path<br />

of Barnes’ oncoming car. Barnes’ car spun on the slick roadway attempting to avoid the accidet<br />

before the collision occurred.<br />

Roberts said a North Mancheter accident reconstructionist worked with the sheriff’s<br />

department to determine how the crash occurred on the rural roadway.<br />

Marynele Barnes, 45, Dunn and Wright Streets, <strong>Fulton</strong>, died at 9 a.m. Wednesday at<br />

Indiana 114 and 300 West in Wabash <strong>County</strong>, from injuries received in an automobile accident.<br />

She was born in <strong>Rochester</strong> to Howard and Kathleen MASTELLER STEWART On June<br />

6, 1986, in Logansport, she married David L. “Barney” BARNES, who survives She worked for<br />

Moore Business Forms, <strong>Rochester</strong>, for 16 years. She was a 1969 graduate of <strong>Rochester</strong> High<br />

School and a member of Church of Christ, Logansport.<br />

Surviving with her husband are one daughter, Mrs. Brian (Tami) PURSIFULL,<br />

<strong>Rochester</strong>; oe son, Justin JENKINS, <strong>Fulton</strong>; four grandchidren, Madison and Marcen<br />

PURSIFULL, both of <strong>Rochester</strong>; and Courtney and Zachery JENKINS, Fort Wayne; step-father<br />

and mother, Delford and Kathleen BOWEN, <strong>Rochester</strong>; two sisters, Sandra Kay KLEIN,<br />

Logansport; and Mrs. Richard (Mickey) BOLLENBERG, Bonneau, S.C.; one brother, Howard Jr.<br />

and wife Mary STEWART, Hudson, Fla.; one stepbrother, Leroy and wife Ive BOWEN,<br />

Greentown; and several nieces and nephews.<br />

Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Foster & Good Funeral Home, <strong>Rochester</strong>, with the<br />

Rev. Jerry SALTSMAN officiating. Burial will be in the Athens Cemetery. Friends may call<br />

from 3 to 8 p.m Friday and 1 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.<br />

John T. DOWNHAM, 81, 1129 W. Pontoon Dr., Kewanna, died at 8:53 a.m. today at<br />

Woodlawn Hospital.<br />

Arrangements are pending at McCloskey-Hamilton-Gundrum Funeral Home,<br />

Logansport.
