Junior D. Bright<br />

April 3, 1924 - Sept. 17, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Junior D. BRIGHT, 72, <strong>Rochester</strong>, died at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at his residence following a<br />

three-month illness.<br />

Born in Akron to Albert and Nellie BRIGHT, he married Martha ROUCH on Nov. 10,<br />

1947 in Wabash <strong>County</strong>. She died June 19, 1995. He lived most of his life in Wabash and <strong>Fulton</strong><br />

counties.<br />

A retired employee of Miller & Sons Lumber Co., Silver Lake, he had served in the<br />

European theater during WWII with the U.S. Army and was a member of the North Manchester<br />

Veterans of Foreign Wars Post.<br />

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Benny (Chris) BRYANT, North Manchester, Mrs.<br />

Bo (Cathy) MILAM, Paris, Texas; one son, Michael D. BRIGHT, <strong>Rochester</strong>; seven grandchildren<br />

and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Betty STONER, Delphi, and a<br />

brother, Kenny BRIGHT, Akron. He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.<br />

Zimmerman Family Funeral Home, <strong>Rochester</strong>, is in charge of arrangements. <strong>The</strong>re is no<br />

funeral or visitation. Private interment will be held at a later date in the Nichols Cemetery near<br />

Akron.<br />

Eugene E. Black<br />

Feb. 10, 1909 - Sept. 18, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Eugene Ernest BLACK, 87, 212 Doral Park Dr., Kokomo, died at 3:35 a.m. Wednesday<br />

at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Kokomo.<br />

Born in <strong>Fulton</strong> to George Albert and Florence Ida HECKATHORN BLACK, he married<br />

Ruth ENYART on Jan. 23, 1944 at the <strong>Fulton</strong> United Brethren Church; she survives.<br />

A 1927 graduate of <strong>Fulton</strong> High School he had worked for the Indiana State Board of<br />

Accounts and was the owner and manager of Black Magazine Agency in Logansport for 37 years,<br />

retiring in 1972.<br />

He was a memvber of the Bible Baptist Church, Kokomo, where he had taught Sunday<br />

School, served on the Board of Deacons and the Board for Child Evangelism. He had also worked<br />

with Gideon International.<br />

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Beverly Sue TIMBERMAN,<br />

Germantown, Tenn., Marcia Jeanne GOLDSTEIN, Toronto, Ontario, a son, Philip B. BLACK,<br />

Chicago, and two granddaughters. He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.<br />

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400<br />

South Webster St., Kokomo, with the Rev. John SITTON and the Rev. Reese JOHNSON<br />

officiating. Graveside Committal Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at <strong>Fulton</strong> Cemetery, <strong>Fulton</strong>.<br />

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel.<br />

Memorial contributions may bve made to the Kokomo Rscue Mission.
