Feb. 27, 1931 - June 7, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Barbara J. HISSONG, 65, Leiters Ford, died at 4 p.m. Friday at her residence.<br />

Born in Monterey to Donald and Ruby BEAUCHAMP REINHOLT, she married Wayne<br />

D. HISSONG in 1956. He survives. She lived in Leiters Ford, where she was a homemaker, all<br />

her life. She was a member of the Leiters Ford United Methodist Church.<br />

Preceding her in death was one grandson.<br />

Surviving with her husband are one daughter, Valerie STAPLES, South Bend; two sons,<br />

Van D. HISSONG, Culver, and Vince W. HISSONG, Leiters Ford; six grandchildren; and four<br />

brothers, Donald REINHOLT, Warsaw, Ronald REINHOLT, Leiters Ford, Stan REINHOLT,<br />

Culver, and Jack REINHOLT, Plymouth.<br />

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Bonine Funeral Home, Culver, with Rev. Dorothy<br />

JONES officiating. Burial will be in the Leiters Ford I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Visitation will be from<br />

4-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.<br />

Memorials can be made to the Leiters Ford United Methodist Church and Hope Hospice<br />

of <strong>Fulton</strong> <strong>County</strong>.<br />

Sylvester Sarna<br />

Dec. 3, 1935 - June 9, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Sylvester “Sy” SARNA, 60, Plymouth, died at 7:49 p.m. Sunday at St. Joseph Hospital of<br />

Marshall <strong>County</strong>.<br />

Born in Chicago to Cyril M. and Mary (BUCZ) SARNA, he married Betty STILES in<br />

1961. She survives. He was a vice president ad plant manager of McCord Corp., Plymouth. He<br />

was also plant manager of Polygon Corp., Walkerton for 2 years, retiring in 1993. He was a<br />

member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Plymouth, the Experimental Aircraft Association and<br />

War Birds of America, the American Society for Quality Control, the Water Pollution Control<br />

Federation. He was a sky-diver and a gun collector. He had served on the M.A.C.O.G. board and<br />

attended Ancilla College and Indiaa University, South Bend. He was a licensed industrial water<br />

treatment specialist and wa a registered professional ecologist and a member of the American<br />

Society of Professional Ecologists. He served as chairman of the regional advisory committee for<br />

northern Indiana E.P.A. water studies and on the Citizens Advisory Committee of Marshall<br />

<strong>County</strong>.<br />

Surviving with his wife are one daughter, Susan SARNA, Plymouth; three sons,<br />

Christopher SARNA, Macy, and Erich and Adam SARNA, both of Plymouth; five grandchildren;<br />

his father and stepmother, Cyril M. and Irene SARNA, Knox; one brother, James SARNA,<br />

Sandstone, Minn.; and two sisters, Arlene SARNA, Elmhurst, Ill. ad Marie HOLLON, Knox.<br />

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Michael’s Catholic Church with Rev. David<br />

VOORS officiating. Burial will be at New Oakholl Cemetery, Plymouth, and visitation will be<br />

from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday. <strong>The</strong>re will be a family rosary service at 8 p.m. Tuesday.<br />

Memorials can be made to the American Lung Association.
