Paul Mitchell<br />

Sept. 22, 1918 - June 15, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Paul MITCHELL, 77, 20631 Indiana 8, Culver, died at 3 a.m. Saturday at his residence.<br />

Born in Chicago to William and Katie MITCHELL, he married Jean C. ESHELMAN in<br />

Plymouth on June 17, 1949. She survives. Residing in Culver for 36 years, he was a retired<br />

auditor workig for the United Autoworkers Union for 30 years. He was a member of the Moose<br />

Lodge, Eagles Lodge, and the American Legion Post. No. 27, all of Plymouth.<br />

Preceding him in death were a sister and a brother.<br />

Surviving with his wife are one daughter, Barbara WELDY, Bremen; two sons, Paul V.<br />

MITCHELL and Jerry L. MITCHELL, both of Culver; five grandchildren; and one great-gradson.<br />

Services were to be at 2 p.m. today at Bonine Funeral Home, Culver, with Rev. Daniel J.<br />

BERGER officiating. Burial was to be rtoday at the New Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth.<br />

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.<br />

Charles E. Paul<br />

Aug. 29, 1911 - June 15, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Charles Edison PAUL, 84, formerly of Gilead, died at 12:40 p.m. Saturday a Miller’s<br />

Merry Manor, Peru.<br />

Born in Miami <strong>County</strong> to William Sherman and Georgiana GROGG PAUL, he married<br />

Ethel A. WOODHOUSE. She died Oct. 24, 1993. He was an operator of heavy equipment for the<br />

former McMahan-O’Connor Construction Company, <strong>Rochester</strong>. He was a member of the Gilead<br />

Masonic Lodge No. 354, and a World War II Navy veteran.<br />

Preceding him in death were his wife, a sister and two brothers.<br />

Surviving are two daughters, Marilyn SNYDER, Peru, and Bonita FRITZ, Kokomo;<br />

three sons, Verdon PAUL, Macy, Daniel PAUL, Charleston, W. Va., ad Terry PAUL, Watertown,<br />

Conn.; and eight grandchildren.<br />

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron, with Rev.<br />

Robert LOUGHEED officiating. Burial will be at Gilead Cemetery and visitation will be from 6-8<br />

p.m. Monday at the funeral home.<br />

Jacob E. Casper<br />

June 10, 1916 - June 16, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Jacob E. CASPER, 80, Perrysburg, died at 2:23 p.m. Sunday at Miller’s Merry Manor,<br />

Peru. Born in Miami <strong>County</strong> to Walker L. and Mary WILSON CASPER, he married Wilma<br />

BRYANT on Aug. 23,1936, at the <strong>Fulton</strong> Evangelical United Brethren Parsonage, <strong>Fulton</strong>. She<br />

survives. He worked as a timber contrctor, retiring in 1980. He was also a member of the<br />

Perrysburg Baptist Church.<br />

‘ Preceding him in death was a brother, George CASPER.<br />

Surviving with his wife are one daugher, Linda L. DEMOREST, Boise, Idaho; two sons,<br />

Lawrence A. CASPER, North Manchester, ad Lyle S. CASPER, Effingham, Ill.; two sisters,<br />

Maxine HARTZLER, <strong>Fulton</strong>, and Jane RENTSCHLER, Twelve Mile; fifteen grandchildren; and<br />

fourteen great-gradchildren.<br />

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, at McClain Funeral Home, Denver, with Rev.<br />

Michael L. WILLIAMS officiating. Burial will be at Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Logansport, and<br />

visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
