April 20, 1925 - Sept. 20, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Gladys M. KAMP, 71, 2440 Carol, Pehrump, Nev., formerly of <strong>Rochester</strong>, died at Las<br />

Vegas, Nev., following an extended illness.<br />

Born in Lucas, S.D., to Allen H. and Maude J. FREVERT EASTLUND, she is survived<br />

by a daughter, Mrs. Edward (Olive) WILLIAMS, Pahrum, Nev.; two sons, Gary and Guy KAMP,<br />

both of Las Vegas, Nev.; four sisters, Eunice KINDIG, San Joes, Calif., Lois THOMPSON,<br />

Slippery Rock, Pa., and Lillian PLUMMER and Dorothy ROBINSON, both of Indianapolis; two<br />

brothers, Edward EASTLUND, Plymouth and Charles EASTLUND, Albert Lea, Minn.; a stepsister,<br />

Barbara ROCK, and two step-brothers, Phillip and Edward WALTZ, all of <strong>Rochester</strong>. She<br />

was preceded in death by a son, Gail [KAMP].<br />

Cremation will take place in Nevada and graveside services in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery,<br />

<strong>Rochester</strong>, will be announced at a later date. Eastlund-Harris Funeral Home, Syracuse, is in<br />

charge of arrangements.<br />

Eulan D. Ulerick<br />

Aug. 29, 1920 - Sept. 16, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Eulan D. ULERICK, 76, R.R. 1, Twelve Mile, died at 9 p.m. Monday, Sept. 16, at his<br />

residence.<br />

Born in Bethlehem Township, Cass <strong>County</strong> to the late Forrest and Lola ADKINS<br />

ULERICK, he was a 1938 graduate of Metea High School. He married Rose Hazel MURPHY on<br />

October 12, 1941; she survives. He was active in the Boy Scouts of America all his life and was a<br />

Star Scout. He was a troop leader and belonged to the Order of the Sycamore which purchased<br />

Camp Buffalo of Three Rivers Council in the early 1950s for the future use of scouts.<br />

He worked at Logan Machine, Logansport, for 25 years as a machinist and material<br />

buyer. While at Logan Machine he was the president of the union and encouraged activity in the<br />

cause of the worker for his entire life. He left Logan Machine to join Metalloil Corporation of<br />

Huntington and rose to become president and owner. He was the founder and president of EDLO<br />

Sales and Engineering of Huntington which has an office in Logansport. He was precinct<br />

committeeman and secretary of the central committee of the Cass <strong>County</strong> Democratic Party. He<br />

was one of the first members of the Flying Farmers of America and was an avid and active flyer.<br />

He was a 50-year member and Past Master of the Royal Center Masonic Lodge, a former member<br />

of the Scottish Rite, and a member of the Eagles Lodge, Logansport.<br />

In addition to his wife and mother he is survived by three daughters, Janet GRAVEL,<br />

Donna BABB, and Sharon BURNS, all of Twelve Mile; a son, Paul ULERICK, Atlanta, Ga.,<br />

seven gradchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, Lloyd<br />

ULERICK, Peru. He was preceded in death by his father and two grandsons.<br />

Private graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Mount Carmel Cemetery,<br />

Twelve Mile, with Pastor Tim SMITH officiating. Royal Center Masonic Lodge conducted a<br />

Masonic memorial service. McClain Funeral Home, Denver, was in charge of arrangements.
