Nov. 10, 1973 - Aug. 26, <strong>1996</strong><br />

An Argos man was killed Monday when he lost control of his vehicle on a Kosciusko<br />

<strong>County</strong> road.<br />

<strong>The</strong> Kosciusko <strong>County</strong> Sheriff’s Department said Tommy H. MITCHELL Jr., 22, died<br />

from multiple internal injuries he sustained in the one-car crash. Mitchell was pronounced dead<br />

on arrival at Kosciusko Community Hosptal in Warsaw by Kosciusko <strong>County</strong> Deputy Coroner<br />

Larry LAUD.<br />

<strong>The</strong> accidet occurred about 10:01 a.m. on Kosciusko Couty Road 100 South and <strong>County</strong><br />

Road 900 West. Police believe Mitchell was traveling at a high rate of speed when he lost control<br />

of the vehicle. Police said Mitchell was not wesarig a seat belt and was ejecrted from the vehicle.<br />

Police allege Mitchell’s blood alcohol level was 0.1 at the time of the accident.<br />

Tommy H. Mitchell Jr., 22, 10134 16th Rd., Argos, died at 10:43 a.m. Monday at<br />

Kosciusko Communty Hospital, Warsaw, following an automobile accident.<br />

Born in South Bend to Tommy and Nancy L. GOODSPEED MITCHELL, Sr., he had<br />

lived most of his life in the Argos community. On December 16, 1995 near Argos he married<br />

Cynthia LIVERETT. She survived. He was a 1992 graduate of Argos High School and served in<br />

the U.S. Navy for 3 1/2 years. He was employed by United Technologies Automotive, Bourbon.<br />

In addition to his wife he is survived by his mother, Nancy MITCHELL, Mishawaka; his<br />

father, Tommy MITCHELL, Sr., Argos; a sister, Wendy Lee MITCHELL, Mishawaka; and a<br />

brother, Troy Allen MITCHELL, South Bend. He is also survived by his maternal grandparents,<br />

Leo and Wilma PAAR, Mishawaka, and paternal grandmother, Lois JARRELL, Argos. Preceding<br />

him in death were his maternal grandfather, Byron GOODSPEED, paternal grandfather, Clarence<br />

MITCHELL, and paternal step-grandfather, Mike JARRELL.<br />

Services will be at 10:30 a.m Thursday at the Grossman Funeral Home, Argos, with<br />

Pastor Glen A. MITCHELL officiating. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos.<br />

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and after 9 a.m. through the hour of services on<br />

Thursday at the funeral home.<br />

Dec. 26, 1912 - Aug. 27, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Loren A. CONDON, 83, Route 3, Peru, died at 2:35 p.m. Tuesday at his residence.<br />

Born in Adams Township, Cass <strong>County</strong> to George and Clara B. McCLAIN CONDON,<br />

he married Clara Ellen HUNTER on Feb. 10, 1937 at Perrysburg. She died May 8, 1982. He was<br />

a farmer and was a member of Skinner Chapel Church, Twelve Mile.<br />

His is survived by a son, Larry Allen and wife Patricia CONDON, Peru; a son-in-law<br />

Troy SCOTT and wife Geneva, Peru; four grandchldren, Debra HULL, Mexico, Rebecca St.<br />

CLAIR, Francesville, Jayne Ellen PUGH, <strong>Fulton</strong>, and Tricia CONDON, Peru. In addition to his<br />

wife he was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Karen Kay SCOTT.<br />

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Mexico Church of the Brethren with the Rev.<br />

Rudell SPARKS and Rev. Tim DEARDORFF officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery,<br />

Mexico. Visitation will be at the McClain Funeral Home, Denver, and for one hour prior to<br />

services at the church.
