Danny J. TOWNSEND, 43, Lucerne, died at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday at Methodist Hospital,<br />

Indianapolis.<br />

Born in Logansport to Vernard and Doris MUSALL TOWNSEND, he married Connie S.<br />

EDWARDS on Oct. 3, 1993 in New Waverly She survives. He and his wife purchased the Red<br />

Barn Cafe, <strong>Fulton</strong>, this spring and opened the business in June. He also operated an antique<br />

restoration shop called Restore and More, Lucerne. A U.S Army veteran, he was a member of the<br />

Eagles Lodge No. 323, the Helm Street Church of God, and the Cass <strong>County</strong> 4-H Association.<br />

Surviving with his wife are one daughter, Xarrisse M. TOWNSEND and one son, Joseph<br />

Daniel TOWNSEND, both at home; three sisters, Joy WALKER, Logansport, Wanda WILLIS,<br />

Chaffee, Mo., and Carla HUNNICUTT, Logansport; and several nieces and nephews.<br />

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturay at the McCloskey-Hamilton-Gundrum Funeral<br />

Home, Logansport, with Rev. Gary A. JORDAN officiating. Burial and military graveside rites<br />

will take place in the Davis Cemetery, Burnettsville. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Friday at the<br />

funeral home.<br />

Memorials may be made to the Cass <strong>County</strong> Youth 4=H or the Indiana Medical Center<br />

Organ Trandsplant Program.<br />

Lucy R. Stockberger<br />

May 16, 1918 - July 9, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Lucy R. STOCKBERGER, 78, <strong>Rochester</strong>, died at 9:25 p.m. Tuesday at Life Care Center,<br />

Rocheter.<br />

Born in Ober to John P. and Ona SUSDORF, she married Harold I. STOCKBERGER on<br />

Jan. 21, 1939 in Knox. He preceded her in death May 19, 1975. She was a homemaker and a<br />

member of the Whippoorwill Church. She lived most of her life in the <strong>Rochester</strong> community.<br />

Also preceding in death were one son, Delbert [STOCKBERGER]; one brother Lovell<br />

OSBORNE; and two sisters, Ota SUTTON and Alta HOLLOWAY.<br />

Surviving are two daughters, Joyce Ann Van DOREN and her husband Byron, Akron,<br />

Mary Jane SEABOLT and her husband Charles, <strong>Rochester</strong>; ;one son, Dennis James<br />

STOCKBERGER and his wife Janet, <strong>Rochester</strong>; eleven grandchildren; thirteen greatgrandchildren;<br />

and two sisters, Vera NEEHER, New Carlisle, and Laura DOEDEN, Houston,<br />

Texas.<br />

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Foster & Good Funeral Home, <strong>Rochester</strong>, with<br />

Rev. Brian SEWELL officiating. Burial will take place at the Richland Center I.O.O.F. Cemetery.<br />

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday until services at the funeral<br />

home.
