Carol F. HATFIELD, 52, 610 N. Spring St., Wabash, died at 3:15 p.m. Saturday at<br />

Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis.<br />

She was born in Wabash to Earl R. and Anna M. TRODER LAMBERT. On June 24,<br />

1962, she married Thomas E. HATFIELD, who survives. She was a homemaker, a member of<br />

Olive Branch Church of God, Roann, and also attended the Christian Fellowship Church, North<br />

Manchester. She was a member of the Bells & Beaus Square Dance Club and a 1961 graduate of<br />

Laketon High School.<br />

Surviving with her husband are two sons, Timothy R. HATFIELD, Rockford, Ill; and<br />

Thomas R. HATFIELD, Wabash; four grandchildren; four step-grandchldren; and one brother,<br />

Paul R. LAMBERT, Liberty Mills.<br />

Services will be at 1 p.m Tuesday at DeLaughter-McKee Mortuary, North Manchester,<br />

with the Revs. Lawrence SEE and J.P. FREEMAN officiating. Burial will be private. Friends<br />

may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. today, and two hours prior to the service on Tuesday at<br />

the mortuary. Memorials may be made to the Liver Disease Research Foundation.<br />

James R. McCord<br />

Oct. 15, 1909 - Feb. 24, <strong>1996</strong><br />

James R. McCORD, 86, 18935 North 600 West, Elwood, died at 11:05 a.m. Saturday at<br />

St. Joseph Hospital, Kokomo.<br />

He was born in Jasper <strong>County</strong> to John W and Etta McCOY McCORD. On Oct. 20, 1934,<br />

in Malita, Ohio, he married Treva M. LATTA, who died on March 14, 1988 He was a former<br />

member of Nyona Lake and was active in the Macy community. He had retired from the N&W<br />

Railroad section crew and attended the Rigdon United Methodist Church. He was past master of<br />

Grant Lodge No.637, Swayzee; and a member and past patron of the Swayzee Chapter No. 345<br />

Order of the Eastern Star.<br />

Surviving are one son, Xen Lee and wife Debbie McCORD, Elwood; three<br />

grandchildren, Jason ad wife Patricia McCORD and Jeremy McCORD, both of Rigdon; and<br />

Angela McCORD, Elwood; one great-grandson, Matthew McCORD, Rigdon; and his stepmother-in-law,<br />

Nellie LATTA, Napoleon, Ohio.<br />

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Swayzee United Methodist Church, with the<br />

Rev. Jim NICKLES officiating. Burial will be in the Thrailkill Cemetery, Swayzee. Friends may<br />

call from 4 to 8 p.m Tuesday at the church. A Masonic service will be conducted at 8 p.m.<br />

Tuesday at the church.<br />

McClain Funeral Home, Denver, is handling the arrangements.
