Mildred A. GOHEEN, 82, died at 5:40 p.m. Monday at Miller’s Merry Manor Nursing<br />

Home, Culver.<br />

She was born in <strong>Fulton</strong> <strong>County</strong>, northwest of <strong>Rochester</strong>, to Albert and Ethel<br />

(NEWCOMB) McGRIFF. She married Charles R. GOHEEN. He survives.<br />

She was a homemaker who lived in Argos most of her life. She was a member of the<br />

Santa Anna United Methodist Church and Maxinkuckee Rebekahs Lodge No. 844.<br />

Surviving are several nieces and nephews.<br />

She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Karen Sue and Sonjia<br />

GOHEEN; two sisters, Florence GIBBONS and Leone ABBOTT; three brothers, Roy, Ray and<br />

Orville McGRIFF.<br />

Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Grossman Funeral Home in Argos with the Rev.<br />

Warren WALMER officiating. Burial will be in the Washington Cemetery in Culver. Visitation<br />

is after 9 a.m. Thursday to one hour before services.<br />

Sept. 16, 1916 - April 30, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Charles C. “Cliff” BAILEY, 79, Argos, died at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday at Huntington<br />

Memorial Hospital.<br />

He was born in <strong>Fulton</strong> to Charles N. and Flossie V. (ENYART) BAILEY. He married<br />

Ruth SWIHART. She preceded him in death. He then married Ruth TEETER. She preceded him<br />

in death on May 19, 1984. He married Elizabeth “Betty” (MORRIS) WALLACE. She survives.<br />

He had lived in Argos since 1962 He was employed with Bendix Corporation in South<br />

Bend until he retired in 1982. He worked with the railroad for several years and was a farmer. He<br />

also operated Marl Hauling Business and was the former owner of a grocery store in Tippecanoe.<br />

Surviving are one daughter, Julia DEAN, Tippecanoe; two sons, Fred BAILEY, San<br />

Clament, Doug BAILEY, Mishawaka; ;three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four stepdaughters,<br />

Darlene BARCUS, Argo, Catherine M. WILSON, Argos, Pamela S. CASEY, Bass<br />

Lake, Sheri BECKER, Warsaw; four step-sos, John W. WALLACE, Tippecanoe, David F.<br />

WALLACE, Bourbon, Jessie J. WALLACE, Leiters Ford, Donald L. WALLACE, Leiters Ford;<br />

ten step-grandchldren; one sister, Isabell MOULTON, Denver; one step-brother, Bernie BAILEY,<br />

South Bend.<br />

He was preceded in death by one grandson, Wesley BAILEY; and two brothers, Clayson<br />

and Howard BAILEY.<br />

Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Grossman Funeral Home in Argos with the Rev. Robert<br />

MACE officiating. Burial will be in the Walnut Brethren Cemetery, Argos. Visitation is 4-8 p.m.<br />

today and after 9 a.m. Friday until one hour before services.<br />

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
